Radeon X1950, 1900 Crossfire overheats post MOD8

To all you techies out there, please help!

Have had no problems with this card pre mod 8 including running my 24" on ultra high settings 1920X1200 resolution. Post the mod update, my card fan is wurring and the temp spikes to 110 so that it starts reducing frame rate and beeping ON THE LOWEST GRAPHICS SETTING....

I have updated my drivers
I have DX10 on my DXDIAG settings
it is not a DX10 card

Silly question, Did you turn on DX10 in game?

no - did not turn on DX10, it was greyed out anyhow

did you go to risia, enable dx10 and log out without disabling risia and restarting for it to take effect and the log onto live servers? (now thats silly)

I'm bumping this because I'm having severe problems with a 1900XT card as well.

Same thing. Worked just fine until Mod 8. I've updated drivers, and lowered all my settings. It's not the card.

I haven't had one complaint with this game. I enjoy it. Somehow Turbine really managed to break the game this time, and make it unplayable for me.

Is it just ATI cards that are having problems?

Well that did not fix it. looking into microsoft updates that Igot at the same time as the game update for Mod 8
