After the AI tweak that caused the recent lag issues, I've seen several cases of slimes moving in semi-random fashion away from the party. This being after the party engaged. Similar to dogs except they are slower.

The oozes have been doing this around the same time the animals and wildmen exhibited the "run away" syndrome. They likely share some of the same AI behaviors (much like armored troglodytes and armored hobgoblins share the trait of "attack when attacked" even when feared). Its not new, but at least slow oozes are more bearable to run up to and whack on when they do this.

Well dogs have exhibited this behavior for a long time.
Not sure about oozes.
He's not alone in thinking that their was an a.i. change that went into effect. if the odd behavior of mobs is caused BY the lag or not is debatable. I was soloing stk on a lowbie the other night and had an entire room full of mobs simply attacking nothing. Also, as you know i'm sure, the dispeling in the shroud seemed to be something new.
I dont believe these were stealth changes as some do, I think they are symptoms of the nasty nasty lag we've been seeing.
oh, on an even more amusing note, I will try to post a screen shot later of several undead giant skellies in the sub standing in a circle. They were just all walking to the same pint on the map and collided then just continued the walking animation all bunched up together.
I missed that explanation from Turbine.
However, I did see this:

They lead one to believe AI software is contributing.
The devil AI issue was local lag(local to the instance) caused by the devils teleporting, and has been around as long as there have been devils teleporting, it is extremely apparent in the subterane just before the entrance to visions of destriction, as there are multiple devils who start teleporting to multiple platforms all at once. The cause of the lag from the reboot has not been revealed by Turbine, although they have indicated the hardware upgrade and this Monday's maintenance would address some of it, which from preliminary accounts it has
edit after checking some posts it maybe that the lag is still there on some servers

Here's what I don't get. I'm not sure how you determined that turbine moved the servers to a new building but why would that require a hardware upgrade? I understand the network piece possibly changing but upgrading Turbine's hardware won't fix that. Don't they contract for a specified bandwidth? There was more to this than than network issues and unless the hardware failed (maybe they broke it during the move?), the only reasons to upgrade are increased trafic or increased software demand.
Last night there was a little noticeable lag on Argo. Group-wide stuff. However, it was playable. I suppose the real test is the increased traffic when mod 8 launches. Probably this comming weekend.
