Hiyas.

I recently joined DDO.
I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons since about 1981... I even have the original Red and Blue soft cover books still.

I started playing online RPGs with UO. I went to Never Winter Nights. From there, I went to World of Warcraft when it started in November of 2004. I stayed with WoW until about a month ago when I came here. Initially, I came here just because it was free and WoW was down most Tuesdays for maint. I think I am staying though. It's nice to be closer to my D&D roots. I followed my Bro and a couple friends to Sarlona.

I haven't been very social yet (by joining a guild or PUGs) but I am getting there. My main character is a 6 Pally/2 Rogue (Wolvarr) but I have been enjoying my level 4 repeating crossbow rogue (Lewcifer... original, I know) also. Most of my characters have BlackBane as a surname.

Anyway, enough babbling. I shall now attempt to link a pic. If it doesn't work I will try again later.

Nice! When Gary Gygax died a while back a group of us got together and started a campaign using the original basic rules. Talk about hard. I don't think anyone acquired more than 90XP total while using that rule set. We've evolved it to 3.5e now, though.

They both love watching me play DDO, and playing with the PnP dice. I'm going to get them some mini figs for in their stockings this Christmas. I think playing little scenarios with them will be good for teaching them math, right? My boy runs around the house playing D&D now on his own. He's mostly a monk, even though my char on DDO is a Cleric. Apparently he's already smarter than his old man and won't play a nannybot. My girl likes to pretend she's a drow rogue. I don't know what to take from that.

Just preparing you for when she is older...watch the wallet....it will take hits along the way....

Trust me many of us have our kids watching to and the guys get a kick out of hearing my son in the background normally laughing after I die...

And a drow rogue eh? Hehe me thinks Zenako is right watch that wallet when shes older lol

LOL! Me too!

My husband (who also plays) says I always look like a grouch, even when I'm smiling. lol. I personally think he's just being a jerk.

Good Day! I'm new to the game, running a level 5 char, 4 ranger/1 rogue (human). Her name is Sylfhare. I've been playing for maybe 3 weeks, and I'm having a blast! I'm totally a RPG junkie, and I have progressed from EQ to EQ2 to LOTRO to here. This game gives you way more ability to solo through the content than any other. Which is important since I have two kids and own a business, my schedule gets cramped! lol
