I like the booste, usually go all 15 points on my barbs.... It's best when you know the quest since you can hit the boost when moving into a big fight. And if you're built well/have good party members everything will be dead in 20 seconds.

Depends on your build I would say.
I tend to stoneskin clicky between rages and also wear the DQ gloves. So static DR is not that great of an option for my barbarian.
