Fists of light while using kamas?

I've been toying with a lowbie monk and it looked like I was getting the damage from fists of light while using the kamas.

Is that what everyone sees too, or do I need to look closer at what was happening?
(Two +1 kamas against zombies and I was getting 2 red numbers when I activated the attack.)

Next, does this apply to other monk attacks?

Works with everything but Stunning Fist and Quivering Palm.

Your special attacks are doubled if triggered on an animation with two attack hooks, which at level 15 will be 100% of your swings. Until that level you may get 1 or 2 applications out of each use, depending on your timing.

I do not know the specifics but this has something to do with TWF. It works for all monk attacks as well as attacks such as Sunder, Trip, Stunning Blow, rogue's Assassination, etc. If you active the attack at certain points in the chain (most any) you will use the attack once with each hand (so twice).
