The reason I am in the guild I am in currently is because my two former guilds disbanded due to the members quitting the game...

A lot of the members of the second guild I was in that didn't quit joined the guild I am now in, and they are the reason I am in said guild. Its a mostly adult, mature guild that help one another greatly. Good group of guys and gals.

Changing play and attendance. First "real" guild I was in was fine for a while, but a number of the core began to drop out as the months passed and we ended up with fewer and fewer being on at the same time. Ran with pugs a lot and hooked up with some good guys. After a bit moved all but 1 of my characters to the new guild, and finally the last guy after I went over a week with hardly seeing any activity with the first gang. Was not a dissatification with the people, just they were no longer playing when I was.

    Default Guild Changes

I have been in 4 Different Guilds, so far. Legends of Arenal, Forgotten Legion, Sacred Flame Guardians, and now Black Mantis. Some changes occured due to inactivity, or I just wanted to make new friends. Either way I enjoyed each guild and met a lot of new folks. I enjoy playing with a variety of different players and enjoy guild raids. ALL of the above mentioned Guilds are great guilds. I say shop around until you find a guild that fits what you want to do. My 3 prior guilds do not hold grudges or anything and they are a joy to play with still to this day.

    Good luck

    Default Egos

One of the biggest reasons I have seen is EGOs.
No one wants to hear how great your toons or your toons builds are.
So when it happens in your own guild with guys you run with then it's time for a change. This is just one of many examples and reasons. Another would be guild member clicks. Same members running together all the time while others feel left out. There are a **** load of reasons people switch guilds.MAIN REASON " UNHAPPY" where they are at the time.

Never been in a guild in this game. In other MMOs I've seen a anumber of reasons people leave guilds. Most of it comes down to ego.

    Many reasons:

    1. You having more fun with different ppl.
    2. Guild simply drys out due to luck of ppl.
    3. Your current guild no longer much your play style.
    4. Incompatibility issues ( drama ).
    5. Guild disbanded for whatever reason.
    6. Want to start your own guild with your own rules/friends etc.

In any case there are tons of reasons ppl changing guild, number of reasons=number of ppl.

Could be mutpile reasons I myself have been in 4 guilds since beta

** Dont care for guild members**

**Dont care for lack of raids**

** Dont care for play styles**

** Dont care for drama or BS**

** Dont care for pickin up everyone else's slack**

These could be some reasons why peeps leave guilds to join others, and I am sure there are many other reasons as well. These 5 just poped into my head first is all

Silly Garth, at least tell people that you can earn get-out-of-permadeath-free points by killing people with the yellow runes in part 3 of the Shroud. Triple points for clerics, Quadruple points for monk splashes (<= 3 monk levels), and double points for Warforged.

Just like anything in life, people like to change things up every so often.

i.e. you might have a favorite shirt, but after a bit you get a bit tired of it. It's still the same shirt, just as good as ever, but its time to move on.

Usually because the guild finds out you arent really a girl IRL and decide to stop giving you free stuff all the time after that.

Yep, some people just don't understand that we're just Roleplaying evil characters who don't realize killing others DOESN'T re-assign their loot to you. I'm still looking for the elusive Warforged monk splash - I have some plans built up...Grease an entire hallway and keep using FoM whenever it gets dispelled, pretty sure I can run over it several times before they realize what's going on!

Edit: I think the best one I've gotten so far is killing Kenny's cleric. It was tempting to throw him a raise and do it again too...
