Please tell me, can aussies or kiwis or the like get back free playing time for all the time they miss during peak gaming hours!!!!!!

14 hours lost gaming where we play at our peak times. woooooot!

Also can anyone tell me when and if Mod 8 is coming?????

Some of us cant be bothered downloading Risia and like surprises when the mod comes out.

If anyone knows that would be great so I can tell the people that are thinking of leaving game or have left already when it is coming.

Sadly, this happens in every MMO. Wow was common. Every tuesday we lost 7-12 hours of play time while they did work on the servers. This is just recently. Not counting before when whole servers would be offline for a day, things where buggy, and so many other problems.

Go read the Risia forums. If you want info on what is happening then read up. And if you cannot be bothered to download Risia and like surprises, then don't complain. It's your fault.

And as for Hirelings, they are not the end all be all. They are NPC and not all that bright. An NPC healer =/= a PC healer. Simple as that.

The reason some of us dont download risia as I stated is that we like suprises when the mod launches, by putting it on risia delays release on other servers.
I know they do this for bug test or whatever, but hey, do it right the first time and there ya go.

Cant wait to see the outrageous prices ya probably gonna have to pay for hirelings lol, going but repair costs and everything else lately, but hey they might release another thread on how to manage your money... woot

1. All games have down time most dont do anything to pay you back for this unless this is an extended period or happens a lot. Turbine has rewarded us in the past with loot weekends I dont think this is a case where that will or should happen.

2. Mod 8 will be next month or so and its pretty good and a bit of fun so its worth hanging around for or comming back.


3. I dont really think hirelings are going to hurt lfm's much if any at all

That is about the most... not bright... thing I've read in a long time. They put what they thought was pretty dang good up on Risia. They got feedback that, hey, this new rage thing is annoying, the hirelings are way too slow and don't respond quickly, this quest has some bad grammar.....
They improved on it. New material is up on Risia now... being play-tested. If its mostly good, it will go live. They may get feedback and improve more - which will be even better.

When doing software, you may find things that work great for you - but you are developing in a single environment with only yourself or your team having input. When you send something out without pre-testing, without enough eyes looking for bugs or things that need to be improved or tweeked, you get bad software. The "Test bed" is one of the most important things a developer can have. I WISH I had the test-group like Risia on some of the stuff I have to send out in my company.

Keep it on Risia until it IS good enough to go live!

I miss weeks of play at a time. It's really no big deal to lose out on a few hours. I actually enjoy the game more because of these breaks. Makes me appreciate it. Too much of anything is usually not a good thing.
