Default Ranger with splash rogue/monk help

I'm considering doing 14 ranger 1 rogue 1 monk atm. I definitely want as much ranger as possible, would like to eventually have 18 ranger. Rogue lvl was for umd, skills and possible traps? Monk for the ac obviously.

    Going Halfling
    Also considering starting stats at
    12 str
    17 dex
    13 con
    13 int
    15 wis
    8 cha

Might do 14 wis and 13 str instead. Hate depending on getting tomes to get feats I might want. Definitely want tempest and combat expertise, thinking about power attack and OTWF or TWD and something else instead.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If you can come up with a +1 int. tome, you can set your int to 12 and work with the stats from there. What are you going to put your lvl up points into? If you're running a 16 base wisdom w/ a +6 item at endgame, you're looking at at 22 (+6) to AC. I don't know if I would drop the wisdom any.

Biggest question -- what does Ranger 18 get you that Ranger 16 doesn't?

I'm currently leveling a warforged monk/ranger/rogue with skill points going into UMD, search and DD for the most part -- although I have maxed intimidate as well . I took 1 level rogue and 2 levels monk -- the extra monk level gives 1 feat and a +1 WIS enhancement. You can use monk feats for many of the prereqs for Tempest so it is a way to grab an extra feat.

If the answer to the R16 v R18 question is "not much," then I would seriously consider taking 2 levels of monk and 2 of rogue (saving the last rogue level until relatively late) or, depending on weapons, taking 3 levels of monk. The 2/2 split gives the WIS bonus and also lets you top off skills with the larger skill pool of rogues. The 3 levels of monk open up some additional monk options that could be useful.

1 Level of monk adds your wisdom bonus, as well as the extra feat. Instead of 2 levels of monk, maybe 2 levels of rogue instead?

    *snip*
It was mentioned by a Dev in another thread that the Ranger Tempest 1, 2 and 3 enhancements may be given at levels 6, 12 and 18 respectively.

I'm mainly wondering is it worth it to go the 1 rogue. Lose 1 bab and will the rogue skills be worth a darn. Will it be better off with another monk lvl or maybe just 15 ranger/ 1 monk?

Honestly, -1 BAB isn't going to mean much in the long run. Sure, it's -1 to hit and whatever the final (BAB 20) attack animation is, but with the amount of Dex on this build it shouldn't really matter.

1 Rog/1 Mnk/18 Rgr can easily grant you full rogue skills (OK, so OL is half-ranked. OHNOES!), crazy AC, Evasion, fast damage, access to Rogue Haste Boost 1 and, uh, did I mention fast damage and crazy AC?

There's zero reason to take a second level of rogue or monk if you have enough Int.
