    Default New player Vista Launch Issues.

    I have a friend who just downloaded the trial for DDO under the new trial system.

    DDO was installed onto a computer running vista.
    The firewall was updated to allow all DDO programs to access the internet.

    When the launcher is running my friend is able to long into his trial account. He chooses next at the juncture where it asks about purchasing a full account and it tells him how many days he has left.

    He then chooses the server he would like to try. The screen goes black and he gets the vista mouse working symbol (the blue wheel thing) and the game will not launch.

    Any suggestions?

    Currently he is not running as the admin nor are the programs checked to be run with admin permission.

    Can he sign up for the forums and post his launcher logs?

    He could sign up for the forums.

    He, however, has no idea where to find the launcher logs. Please explain where one might find them. Thanks.

    Or go to the Windows search bar and type "Launcher" sift through the files and post the most recent log file.

    May want to add the little windows search bar factoid for finding the logs to the sticky. Its a lot easier for Vista users at least than trying the entire program string.
