Come on folk's the price of rapiers has gotten way out of hand. I mean lets get real here who in there right mind is paying that much when greensteel has taken over the weapon market. I myself have been rolling up a new rogue and franlky like rapiers on him but it seems imposible to even buy a half decent one at the prices people have them at, so just do us kinda poor guys and the new guy's with not alot of plat a favor and stop being stupid and bring them prices down.

I've seen the same 3 or 4 rapiers on the AH for obnoxious prices for a while now...like 2 or 3 weeks...

I guess some people are too ignorant to figure out that they won't get the price they're asking....

Don't worry Nuggs. If what we hear is true (that mobs in Mod 8 are immune to stat dmg), the price of rapiers will plummet. For a dps rapier, you're obviously much better off to build one in the Shroud.

The only thing left will be the soon-to-be-obsolete banishing rapiers and the occasional-use smiting rapiers.

fwiw, the only thing ive found thus far that would nix the wop weapons are the giants in snowy outdoor area (cant remember name for the life of me), some undead in one of the others. everything else ive run into thus far they will work fine against, and once stoned my sorc still takes down giants with punct. picks as she does other mobs. so stone and wop, stone and wop will still work just fine...

Now, i still have couple more outdoor areas to and of course i havent done new quests, but i see nothing yet that makes me go running to forums to sell of weapons...not just yet anyways...

this is incorrect only certain mobs are immune to stat damage, which means there is variety to the mobs, and you need more than just you w/p to kill everything.

So far there is only one mob, the frost giants that are immune to stat damage, all otehr mobs are as they have always been. Again for these mobs you will need DPS both melee and casting type.

its the same on khyber the prices for rapiers are obscene. 300k for a +1acid rapier of puncturing!!!! I have my elf rapier barb im working up and I put him on the shelf while i look for weapons for him. I completely agree it has gone out of control.

Not *exactly* true. 3 new outdoor zones. One is undead, one is warded-giants (stat dmg immune), and another is primarily gnolls. So stat damagers are useless in 2/3 of the new outdoor zones, and probably the 4th as well (some undead, unconfirmed as to what else may be in there).

You aren't going to trade everything you own of value for a weapon you use situationally, as we have seen players do for w/p rapiers for use in Mod 7.

Full tome pages sets, full sets of +2 tomes.. banishers, smiters, etc. People in a position to ask for "anything I want". Those days are over.
