DDO I need help please

I respectifully ask DDO for them to please please please address my issue. I was on less then 12 hours ago and about 2-3 hours ago I log, or I should say "tried" to log on and get an error message? First it would go to launcher screen with " The Default data center "http://gls.ddo.com/GSL.DataCenterServer/Service.asmx" is not available " following a timer countdown. That was about a hour ago, now it does not even finish with the launcher. It stops at "Getting data center", followed by same as above as well as " The request failed with HTTP status 417: Exceptation failed"

What the ****-o is going on? I did not change any settings nor did I upload/dowdload anything. I logged out 12 or so hours ago, shut my pc off. I turn it back on, try logging into DDO right away and this? Is DDO on vacation?

Time/date has not changed, that is not the issue.

We haven't changed anything that should cause this, can you please post your launcher logs (instructions in the how to get help sticky)

I do not know even how to get those logs so sorry. I had to uninstall/reinstall game and spend 6 hours or more updating game. I updated last part of this morning and log on and all was fine. Played for a few hours and decided to rebooted because game had horrid lag.....big mistake. I rebooted and start launcher....the same **** thing as before. So, I REFUSE to do anything more until I get some real help from DDO. I looked at the knowledge data base, tried both things listed for error 417......nothing. So, here is the deal, if I do not get help within a few days I will quit this game and I Demand all my money back plain and simple. I have tried all I can on my end and wasted HOURS and hours trying to work out the issue alone. DDO your call now!

If it is taking you 6 hours to download and update the game, then there is a serious transfer issue that is more than likely on your end. I had to reinstall yesterday, between full install and update, just over an hour and a half. This would also explain the timeout error you are getting, the signal strength and integrity is not what it needs to be. Again, that sounds like something on your end, not Turbines.

Making an ultimatum that you have no chance of successfully carrying out is not going to help you get a response out of them. I suggest you read the End User License Agreement before levying a statement like that, will save you a lot of embarrassment.

but you offered as much help as the CS gave with only one sentence from them. You wasted a few paragraphs to conclude with nothing helpful? Sorry, I reserve the right to get real help with my launcher so I can play the game. If I cannot play the game what sane person would continue to pay for it? I am all up for charity, but DDO does not need a hand out. Asking for help and no real help so far seems to much to ask for I guess. CS did suggest something, or should I say alluded to. Seeing I do not know how to give them the logs they alluded to other from their end saying it is "sticky", clear this is ZERO help? If say I was told please get log records and THIS is how you may get them........then I would not be complaining. So I respectfully reserve the full right to complain as I see fit, thanks anyways.

click on the technical assistance forum, then one of the top "sticky" threads is how to get technical assistance. Read it and you will know how to post the logs.

My statement about the EULA wasn't about you leaving, if they are not able to help you get this problem fixed or there solutions cannot/do not help, by all means, they have no reason to keep collecting money from you. Its the "Demand all my money back" statement that that refers to.

As for offering no help, a time out error has two possible points of origin. The broadcast end and the receiving end. It isn't the broadcast end (Turbine) so logic dictates that it must be the receiving end. Maybe your provider has made changes to your service. Maybe your firewall has updated. There are innumerable possibilities on your end that could be preventing the connection.

Those logs will help them help you, and they cannot access the logs for you. Just make sure to put your computers name in the <username> field instead of just flat out copying the whole string.

Seeing as I do not recall ever coming to CS ever before, saying "sticky" meant nothing to me! Which honestly does not matter any more because I give up trying to ask for help. One more reason I do not like coming on the forums either.

To post them double, click on the latest one, and then Ctrl-A (select all), then Ctrl-C to copy them, then click on 'reply' to this post and then paste the log (Ctrl-V) and then select all the text (Ctrl-A) and click the

button on the toolbar above the text window, then click 'submit reply'.

Another path to getting the info, Go to the Windows menu, in the search bar type "Launcher". It should bring up any and all info about your DDO launcher, including your logs, merely copy the most recent and post it. Might take sifting through the various files to find it. It will be a text file, so that should narrow the search down for you. Just open the files in Notepad to see what exactly they are.
