Now if you skip the occasional level with open locks and put one point each into move silent and hide you could be able to open most locks and still stealth when needed. Granted you will have to have items to help you with your stealth since it won't be maxed but that is not the end of the world.
Ahh i missed this part.. was going to ask you.. thank god i'm only lvl 2, rerollarama!

Like I said in a previous post. You could alternate your advancement of umd and open locks. So one level bump them both the next just bump umd and add a point to hide and move silent and the next bump open locks not umd and add a point each to hide an move silently. If you do this a couple of times your umd will still be high enough with the golden cartouche and a hero pot to equipstuff and your open locks will be good enough for 99.9% of the locks out there.

    3) i'm flip-floppin' 28build pts too again fyi, having 32 would make this so much more simple i think..

in 28pts, as a WF could i get away with 12 int to do this?
yes, go with the 12 int and take 2 lvls rogue "EVASION" you'll love it!! but go at least your first lvl as rogue you get more skill points throw them in UMD

If you don't mind waiting until level 10 you get evasion at level 9 ranger. So going 2 levels of rogue is not really needed. Also with a 12 int you won't be able to keep all skills up.
