Anyone have an alt named Deadz?

This is my prefered MMo name, i know this is a dumb question and all, but i was wondering if anyone has a character they don't play using this name, i got it on Thelanis, but wanted to try playing on this server (Khyber) but this is hampering my fun there! If anyone has a character w/ that name but does not play the character, please help! LoL thank you.

And...if you look around on the khyber marketplace there are some other people that will chime in and say that 400k is cheap and the last one they sold went for 7 mil.

But i did make a character on khyber, and i did check, and someone had the name.. that's the reason for this post, was just curious if i could find the owner i guess, since there is no character / account search.

Only way to tell if the character is active is to log in as another character and send them an in-game mail. However, you aren't likely to win either way. If the mail gets returned, that means the player probably isn't active. If the character is active, that means the player probably won't want to give up the name they are using. So, honeslty don't know here... Do characters ever get purged from the db due to inactivity? If not, I guess as time goes on we'll get to see more and more names like "xxDr'i'zz'txxxxxxz"

Yeah i'm a bit of a stickler about names in my mmo.. i don't know why, just one of those things.. maybe i'll use it as my Surname for all my toons...

It hampers my fun because i'm hopping servers back and forth.. just getting "settled" so to speak.

Best thing to do is add the name to your friends list. If you see information (race, class or guild) that means have been used in the last months, if nothing but the name appears, it might be lost in a cancelled account from long ago. But if you really want to see and keep an eye on the name, always keep it in your friends list.
