Best thing to do is add the name to your friends list. If you see information (race, class or guild) that means have been used in the last months, if nothing but the name appears, it might be lost in a cancelled account from long ago. But if you really want to see and keep an eye on the name, always keep it in your friends list.

Thanks for that bit of info. i am sticking with Khyber i think, so far the population at my playtimes and the people are just more my style.
