No one deserves to be cussed out because of a game. I'm sorry but not shocked to hear these kind of stories. I'm sure you know it, but if they aren't mature enough to handle getting booted, I'm sure they would have quickly become a liability in the Shroud.

I'm all for helping first time Shrouders, but really. You have to know the basics of the game to get there. Playing someone else's high level toon..... is asking for trouble.

This is true i was loot running co6 elite loot run back in the day. took a 10 level capped cleric and the poor fellow had no idea how to use a wand to heal with. back then cleric wand whiped everybody to save mana. he ran out of mana 5 minutes into the quest and then we died and we ask him what happen he said it was his mom cleric and i died laughing it was funny as **** in one way in a other not so much.

Shugar, it was a monk. What possible difference could player ability make to a monk's contribution in the Shroud anyway?

Let's see, my monk tends to dual the vorp kamas round things he can vorp. Power attack and slap on the dream spitter 28 str for the red name beat downs while all the dex build rogues, rangers and the like go on how great they are they can do 1d8+2 with a vorp they can't use...
Fist of light every time i can so I mass heal every 4th hit...
I know where the inn is.
And I was very surpised with the damage output with the old spitter. But once again, it's all in the player. I for one think most dex builds that only tote vorps are worthless unless they also have the banes to do some damage on the reds.

When I was asked what my shroud plan was my leader accualy told threw me on a friends list for atleast having a clue. But eh... I for one hate any play that just hates a race, or class just cause they can't figure out how to play it. Just cause you have no clue and can't make a build don't mean others can't.

Grandma plays DDO? Now thats awesome!

"Grandma" might be in her mid-forties, and the player might have been 12.

I have no problem with kids playing DDO.
I have no problem with new players to DDO.
I have no problem with other players playing someone else's capped characters.
I have nor problem with new players coming into a raid.

All of that together though? I do have issues with.

Hey maybe the grandma who plays DDO is the one from that movie Grandma's Boy. She is a **** good gamer, even better when she's loaded up on tea made from weed! Remember how she kicked JP's( I am a robot ) ass in the end fight of that awesome Demonic game. I would have kept the kid! You know what they say,apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I bet the kid had game.
