Clerics are too broad to give a build for, what are you looking to do?
Heal-bot, Melee, caster, full out Fleric?
Hiya,
These two links should be helpful for a starting point (I wonder why they are not stickled)
A very nice default build for anyone to use (Making a newbie somewhat based on it but more well-rounded)

There is a big but stuble difference between a melee Cleric and what we in the business call a Fleric(Fighter-Cleric, nifty name huh?).
A melee based Cleric can be well made through 15 or a full 16 levels of Cleric. That means more spells, more SP, and more Clericy goodness. However, a Fleric will tend to have anywhere from 2-8 levels of a melee class added in for most of the normal Cleric benefits, self healing, self buffing, secondary healing, and overall survivability, while being a more suited melee combatant. Barbarian poses some problems with the build as the Barbarian rage disallows casting but buffinf fully then raging isn't a terrible plan, but you HAVE to plan for it.
In all honesty, it is actually really hard to mess up a Cleric. Even my gimped out and in between roles 28pt Cleric is pretty badass when it wants to be.
In order to maximize your character however you need to pay attention to certain details and figure out what you want to be good at doing, and then figure out how to get to that point. Clerics can be good melees, good caster types, or a walking shrine so it's all up to the player really and how they want to play their character.
What exactly is a "Full Out Cleric"?
If you have no idea what you want to do with a cleric, please dont make one. At least have a concept of what you want to do with one before commiting yourself... People gong into a cleric build withno concept of what they want to accomplish tend to not have a very good time and quickly retire the character...
The Above links are.... Interesting...... I dont consider those links particualy newbie friendly though.... Hit my Forum Title for a base Cleric guild, or my Build index in my sig for many other clerical builds.

I guess what im looking for is a raid cleric playing the solo role of healer whith mby a bit of cc and unbuffing. i was leaning toward a healbot somewhat like the one here:http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=156683
If you are a noob, I strongly suggest against playing any battle cleric builds as they require the user to have some notion on how to play a cleric in general in order to be an effective group member.
My opinion is roll a healer first, and learn the art of healing. Then play around with offensive spells when you get used to the class. Learn how to truly heal and keep an entire quest group alive augmenting some crowd control spells that stun, prone opponents out, cure, cast afflictions, or insta kill them. Then learn how to cleric raiding parties.
After you have mastered the healing aspect of the class will you be ready for a battle cleric. Because that brings a whole new responsibility to the game. Your friends and allies will still expect you to heal and keep them alive during quests and raids. This can be demanding and you have to really know a class well so as to ensure you still have a blue bar left over for your friends and this comes from experience in the dungeons and raid zones.
Ever wonder why people hate battle cleric's it's because they wade into the fray of battle and take damage and spend 80% of the time healing themselves and no one else. This is wha leaves a bad taste in adventurers mouths for the battlecleric.
Learn one side of the class first then combine the meele side to it and people will respect your battle cleric. And when I say battle cleric I mean actual meele combatant not an offensive casting cleric, that's not a true battlecleric...
As others have also said you have to know which kind of cleric you want first before you roll the stats..
Good luck in your endeavours
