    Arrow Looking for build ideas...

Looking for build ideas please. Would like a WF pure pally, all the way, no multi-classing. Would like to use greatswords, following along with the lord of the blades enhancements. Have 32 point access. Would like to have a decent enough charisma to use all the smite evil, divvine sacrifice, etc. enhancements. Would like enough strength to be dependable in battle, and maybe even put all of the level up points into strength. Also would like to know if this will fit in well with all the new paladin stuff coming out. Thx in advance for any cool ideas...Gum

So far I've come up with Str 16 Dex 10 Con 14 Int 8 Wis 12 Char 14

    Exclamation

You are going to hate it. Pure WF Paladin.....

    Your Stated Stats:

NO CE, NO AC, NO Skills, NO DMight to speak of (Upcoming); if you decide to go ahead with it...drop WIS to 10 and put those points into INT (CE); CON or Maybe CHA for DMight Tier II.?

kk, but I wasn't looking to go with CE, or AC, but power attack and WF immunities. Also, with a starting 14 charisma, I should be able to eat a +3 Charisma tome and take one level up point into charisma to boost me to 18, which would give me access to DM III right? It may work, it may not, but it sounds fun anyways.

    Thumbs up

Fair enough, you at least know what you are going for and in that case, drop WIS and Pump UP CON or CHA.... guaranteed +3 CHA tome is a long shot...not impossible (make sure u get it with a +2 that you can easily trade, buy, or simply get lucky. (or Run Reaver-Shroud 20 times and get 2 shots at it)

Once again INT is great so u can actually JUMP a puddle and get to that Caster thats zapping everyone......or INTIMIDATE Mobs and cleave ém, or BALANCE so u can actually get up quickly when a CR 2 Dog trips you (and they will), UMD and other skills are nice of course.

I would question the use of greatswords more than the racial pick, nothing wrong with a wf pally, the plus one to hit tho doesnt really offset the slower speed on the sword compared to an axe. If the SoS was still top dog it would be different, but greensteel for greensteel the axe is better.

additionally the divine might enhancement lends itself better to twf than thf b/c its a straight damage increase. But wf PA helps out THF more. My suggestion would be to wait a few weeks and see if anything is posted about the changes to THF, b/c w/o the absurdly high str and double PA enhancements, the twf would be a better choice. (or build ur char where either line is plausible **14 dex min, where you could essentially farm a tome and eventually swap out the fighting lines**)

Lower your Dex to an 8, and use those points elsewhere. A dex item will cap you later anyways with WF Plate.

Why did you choose Paladin as a class for this toon? It seems that if PA is all you're looking to implement that there are plenty of dps wf builds that might be a better fit for ya. Please help us to understand what this build is for.

Ah, I just wanted to try something different. Wanting to have good hp, do good dps, enjoy the WF benefits, Pally benefits, and use all the new paladin stuff.
