Just an fyi, it isnt a big deal...
I keep getting this error intermittantly when using the forums...
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1186993 bytes) in /www/forums.ddo.com/html/includes/functions.php on line 5403
Im using the most current version of IE on Vista.
When it happens I usually just go to another link on the site, then come back, and it will work.
Just thought I'd mention it as it seems to come up more frequently these days, just in case Im not the only one seeing this with the forums. If I am...bah...I'll just live with it

Ah, so I'm not the only one. Was just debating whether I was tired enough of seeing that to post a query on it or not - which brought me here. I get it about 1 click in 10 (thread reply, New Posts thread link, page link, etc.) and sometimes just Refresh gets me thru it. Sometimes not.
I'm set to 100 posts per page, and am gonna try 20/page to see if that's part of the issue.

I had a similar error. I thought I had err'd on the way of bad bad judgement and been banned, but I just had to refresh my computer cache by logging into the myaccount.turbine.com site & hitting the forums through the subscriptions page.

I've gotten the same error a few times, and I'm using Firefox 3.x on XP sp3.

After switching back to 20 posts/page I have not seen the same error again.
The occasional 'white screen of nothingness' still pops up it's ugly head occasionally - but that's usually when I first fire up forums without going thru the home page first.

Yep, same here. The white screen of death is getting worse. I have to refresh the page two or three times before I can get the main page to come up now.
