Default Not LFT or offers just a question

Yesterday my rogue pulled a +1 rapier of puncturing ML-4 out of end chest in TR. Is this item worth something? My barbarian "currently level 3 may end up using it. Still indifferent on it though, IDK, I might end up auctioning off if / when I find something better

Puncturing weapons are always worth it to some degree. They are obviously not as effective as w/p and, depending on the crit range, are not always as effective as wounding. But, they are still worth it sometimes.

For a barbarian I would think not, however. Rapiers don't do huge damage in and of themselves and at low levels you will usually kill things by HP depletion far sooner than by CON damage. For a DEX based rogue or some other class just trying to help out in a fight....

Was there when you pulled it OP
Told you then and telling you now, nice twink item for the right build (two of thees in the hands of a dex build ranger will rock).

LvL 4 - too young to crit as often as you should compared to when you are capped.
Which gives me the opinion, plain +1 wounding rapiers (LvL 6) or RR (LvL 4) are much better at the noob stages. The Grevious dagger is LvL 4 req, they can be farmed if puncturing is on the players menu.

Yep yep lol, I was aking because of curiousity. After the remark on the no barb but dex build, my rogue will now be dual wielding it. At least I am getting helpful hints on it lol. Now for the twin... Thanks

Also if you have a TWF dex build have if you have a wounding in the other hand it also has some decent results. Again not as good as having two W/P but works all the same.

Started out with 2 Grievous Blades for kicks. My frost rapier of pure good out shines those and quickly replaced grievous with an acid dagger of puncturing. At lower levels, wounding/weakening/maladroit are more powerful then their crit'ing counter parts. IMO that is. Nice item but nothing that last more than an afternoon in your inventory (will move beyond it very quickly) which will limit its value. Nice item, good for levels 4/5. Cheers.
