    Default iron fist

Can the monk experts tell me if the iron fist enhancement to increase Crit mulitplier work only with unarmed or monk weapons?

there was a rumor during risia that it was bugged but I've never tried it myself. Seeing as all ki balanced weapons have a crit range of 20/x2, improving the crit multiplier to 20/x3 might not be worth it either.

but its only for a single attack, so you have to crit on it.

It works for Any weapon you're centered with, so Kamas, Quaterstaves, Unarmed (Handwraps) and Shining Crescents (which fall under staves)

The Finisher for Earth-Earth-Earth also increases the crit multiplier for any of those as well.

I can see it being handy on anything you can hit with Stunning Fist/Blow.

    That would be counter-productive.

When you have a monster stunned, you want to hit it multiple times to refill all your ki (it's important to regain 15+ ki so you can stun again). You certainly don't want to spend ki on killing it.

I understand your point about keeping enough ki for Stunning Fist but I'd argue that that depends on circumstances. If you're using fire stance, ki should not be an issue.

Aside from ki concerns, I don't understand what's counter-productive about killing things faster.

    Because it's not really faster.

The time the player spends actually reaching for a non-useful icon is actually worth more than the value you gain by changing a 2x hit into a 3x hit.

Remember that anyone with Mountain Stance already has the Enduring Strike ability, which for the same 5 Ki cost will add +16 damage to a crit, and whose icon is useful in general combat situations too. And that's without wasting AP on it!
