Favor Points? THats not a real good option for many reasons....

FOrcng favor grnding to open up COntent is a lousy idea to begin with. Mod 8 eliminates the favor grind for character slots so TUrbine has already seen how dumb the idea was.

and Probobly more importan.....Turbine does not hold Licences for anything other than Ebberon. They CANT do FR, DL, Or any other seeting besides Ebberon.

I believe I read on the forums somewhere that the licensing issue has been taken care of by Atari. That legal dispute is now over.

Yeah, Atari is bankrupt. They couldn't afford to litigate, problem solved.

    What Gol said....

Turbine took over DDO in its entirety, IIRC.

WotC holds the licenses for FR, and with how they've been pushing eberron, I wouldn't hold my breath for an FR addition to this game.

The game is set in Eberron so ravenloft and the better they were forgotten realms dont belong and thank god for that.

I understand your point, however mine is this...

Atari has assets (contracts) that require capital to realize any value from those assets. However, they're [functionally] bankrupt and have no capital to invest into those assets and even less available to protect them in expensive litigation. Sure, some lawyers might pick up the case on a "we'll take a % of rewarded damages" basis, but that's a long shot for the peanuts we're talking about. I'm not aware if the DDO contract (or the blanket contract they have over almost all D&D software products) has actually been yanked or not, but iirc Turbine had been given some leniency over online advertising.

If anybody has more up to date info on this, please do share.

Turbine can't seem to be able to add ANY content in the last 5 months since the monk, what makes you think they will add FR or any other worlds?
