    Default Auto attack and attack speed

    So when I first joined the game (see join date) I remember reading that auto attack was not quite as fast as using the attack button on the mouse. Since then click-and-hold has been added to the game.
    So my question(s) is(are):

    Does click and hold work just like auto attack and therefore have a slower attack speed,

    or is click and hold just like auto attack and they both now have the same speed as a "click and click"er

    or are they separate and auto attack is still slower then "click and click

    or am I crazy and never actually read that about attack speed for auto attack?

    My recollection is that auto-attack and click to attack use the same rate of attack nowadays, since maybe mod2/3ish?

    I tested it when the hold-attack was introduced and all 3 modes (button smashing, auto-attack, hold-attack) have same speed.
