Default How much Bandwidth does DDO use???

I know there is no set rule on this but if I play about 25 hours a week, or 100 hours
per month. How much bandwidth would you say I use on average???

I am looking into getting a USB wireless modem for my laptop and one of the service plans offers 5GB of bandwidth per month. Just wondering if anyone knows what kinda dent 100 hours of DDO play would put into that or would it way exceed it???

Hmm, that comes out to about 50MB/hour, or 13.9KB/s. I've never measured DDO's usage, and while most MMO's use very little bandwidth, that still might be pushing it a bit. Also, if you factor in any other internet usage, it wouldn't surprise me if you weren't very close if not over the cap. Some cell phone internet connections can have very high latency, which could make your gaming experience miserable as well. I'll try to monitor DDO next time I'm online.

With two computers (one for me and one for my wife) we were still under 4 GB for the month (uploaded + downloaded), this is all internet usage and DDO play.

I'm guessing for a single computer you'd be fine as long as you stay away from large downloads.

interesting Luth, about how many hours of DDO would you say you do on average per month?
I was thinking it would not take much bandwidth as it is nearly all if not all just data transmisssion but still not sure how it would stack up for 100 or 100+ hours per month.

Hmm, I wonder what size the modules are averaging. Depending on the usage, that might tip someone over their cap. I have no clue, but it is something else to consider.

I'll bet I myself put in 100 + hours. My wife probably not as much, likely around 50 or so. This number though is also with all the time we spend on email, blogs, myspace, facebook, etc.

I see posts about average bandwidth for DDO but is there a minimum requirement for a internet connection to play DDO?

For example, lives outside the city and he has a 1 Mbps internet connection. Disabling voice chat, audio and other things, can he play in good condition?

    Thanks in advance.
