First Time User-Cannot Start Game

Hello all, this is my first time trying DDO and so far a very frustrating experience...

I managed to solve my first problem with the install not completing by switching my UAC thanks to the forum but now when I click on the DDO logo on desktop the only message I get is "cannot run program as administrator, try running without administrator privledges" I ttried right-clicking and doing the run as administrator but doesnt work same msg. I also tried to go into properties and compatibily and check the adminstrator box... but it is unchecked and greyed out. I also tried creating a new non admin user on my computer but DDo doesnt even show up on that user (all my other programs do tho :P) so I am at a total loss now as to what to do. My Laptop is running Vista 64bit Ultimate if that makes any difference...

I had the same thing.
but when I restarted my computer the was a 2nd icon there. I chick on that icon and it's works all the time. if I use the 1st icon I still you that administrator issue. check is there are 2 ddo icon on display.

On vista you want to run as a non admin account with UAC on - or an Admin account with UAC Off (which we DO NOT recommend)
