    Question W T F?!?

How the hell did this topic get into DDO General Discussion??!? Is Beer seriously that embedded in the DDO Player Base? *LMAO*

Also, I sign on with the Guinness team, although I raise my knowledge to being an alcohologist and knowing a wide & fine selection of beers. Some of my recent favorites have been Warfeiner: Oktoberfest Edition & Kona Long Board (which rules). I also recommend the multitude of Autumn/Pumpkin brews that are available currently at a fine spirits dealer near you -- gett'm before Autumn's done!

For those thaat frequent the Boston Area... Check out the Sunset Grille... then you can try a number of different beers.

Inlcuding one called a Creme Bruelle that I hear is quite good.

Sunset has over 300 different Beer on hand at a time

    mmmmm beeeeeeeerrrrr....

who said micro brewers use 3 month old recipes? they use 3 month old technology maybe, to make 300 year old recipes better. Sleemans is the biggest of the "micro" breweries in these parts. though Steamwhistle and Creemore are the best. Expensive, but good. Guiness tastes like @$$. Don't ask how I know what @$$ tastes, it's personal . I've drank it in Belfast, I've drank it around the corner, and it tasted like @$$ both times. It must be a flavour that grows on you...

Best mass produced domestic goes to Molson or Labatte.

I must say, I never did get the Heffe's, I just don't really like them. I do like a good Pale Ale, some excellent ones out there, but a local brewery here in STL, has a great one (don't know how available it is out of town). Schlafly's, sits almost under the AB plant right here in STL. Great beer(s). http://www.schlafly.com/beers.shtml

Edit: Oh, and Guiness does taste like cr@p.

Default Drank it for years but,

this is not a general DDO topic. As a matter of fact, this is an OFF TOPIC conversation. As much as I love and have drunk beers, stouts, ales, etc around the world, topics like this should go under that thread category, not main.

Great, now I have to go to bed AND have that special "thirsty"...and no NOT going to get that beer at this posting hour even if they WOULD sell it.

Be careful what you wish for, what you say is best; for sometimes what you seek is found, not at the end of the quest.

Exactly, and our superior brewing techniques along with our plethora of better beer selections make us better beer taste testers. Thank you for pointing that out

    Default cc bells and others

I love Bells. Bells Expedition stout while pricey is one of the best I have ever tasted. The kalamazoo is awsome but the exped is soooo smooth. If you have total wine locations near you you can get Heavy Seas beers. The Hang Ten is amazing. My 3rd fave of the Heavy seas stuff. The Below Decks barley wine, The holy sheet and the Red sky are ahead of it. the last 2 are tied for second.

    Guinness

As much as I once loved Guinness there are much better stouts outthere. Guinness just doesnt have the flavor after being exposed to the above mentioned Bells beers, The HS PegLeg, Victory's aptly named StormKing and several others.

    Canada

You guys lost the beer race awhile ago. With CraftIE Micro brewing exploding once again in the US we have edged ahead. The demand for quality craft beers in the states is amazing. When you can go into a Grocery store and find craft beers you know people finally want real beer.
Toons are in a constant state of flux. Khyber server.

Really? You can taste the hint of moose *** that offsets the sharp edge of Canadian Goose **** in your insipid Molson Lager?

Yours sounds like a truly emotional experience. You are a living, breathing ad for Guiness.

    Cheers, mate.

You mean instead of a sensitive Kalamazoo Stout beer sipping fanboi?

You certianly do speak the truth, and from a halfling's head no less. Perfect.

So I got the Widmer's over the weekend and had a glass and I have to say I liked the Lienenkugel's better. The Widmer's was a bit too tart for me. I am going to pick up another 6 tonight of another wheat beer from the local place.

Don't do the Hoegaarden, it tastes like pine needles.

Also, guinness is delicious and far more drinkable in mass quantities than any other stout out there. Don't get me wrong, the others taste good, but try drinking a million of them in a row, they begin to taste horrible very quickly.

P.S. Newcastle Brown Ale is flat out delicious and is one of the few beers i like to drink while i eat. Had one at the cheesecake factory not too long ago with a nice slice of cinnamon cheesecake and nearly died.

    Amen, Brother.

Newcastle is my favorite beer with dinner, Guiness when I'm drinking many and Car Bombs when I need to erase old files.
