If you've had a year off, I can't see how you'd have enough plat. There just wasn't that much around a year ago.

I was richer a year ago than I am now, as you could sell every +3 frost weapon of pure good you found for 125-150k PP back in those days. Not to mention smiters for 250k PP (even bad ones), vorpals for more than that, and major mana pots for 20k PP each if we are talking the days of Mod 4. (They fell a LOT when Mod 5 came out, and have regained some of their value since).


Think the going rate is about 300k PP per +2 tome; don't have any spares myself.

Prior to the server merge, he was one of the wealthiest people on Khyber. You could sell Paras Vorps etc for what, 100K plat in Gianthold times? At least "good" ones like bows lol. When I quit, going rate was maybe 60-100k for "epics." If I had just converted everything to plat and then quit instead of just quitting...


Actually, I disagree, plat was less valuable compared to items back then. Now items are less valuable compared to plat. I have no idea about the supply of money, but the supply of items has increased as the loot tables/cap went up. By items I mean weapons and armor and equippables, not comsumables.

Back when GH first came out, Grohk sold a paralyzing heavy crossbow for a million plat.

You never know what old timers will have in terms of plat.

Yeah you were right I was one of the wealthiest people back then. I had 20 girds which I liquidated a bunch of before retiring - sold a WP rapier and Banisher befor retiring when the price was IMO higher than now.

Heck at one point I controlled 2 of the 3 total wp rapiers on the server.
I have sold 4 girds since I returned at about 250 K a pop.

Yeah I have a lot of money....heck teh kama collection I had has netted me some good cash

7 disrupters, 4 vorpals, 8 smiters, 7 paras, and a bunch of high end +3-5 elemental of PG etc etc

I was a packrat and Jay was right I was the trade machine - you needed I had it - heck when greater false life rings and heavy fort rings were super rare I had 3-4 each. Had 3 toons with +6 stat in 2-4 spots each and 3 toons with +2 tomes in every stat.

Trust me - I wasnt getting interest but some things are more valueable than when I left and some less...but hey I am having fun with my monk

You know how much I used to loot run with the 6 capped toons...if I wasnt a redneck american that talked constantly in party I could have been a plat farmer...bwhahahahahahah - I think my notes around here somewhere - I think spyral and I did xorian at least 100 times together plus I know I have done it at least 150-200 times

But that used to be all there was to do in the early days

But I got WOW burn out and came back to prove with olvan that monks can be super bad arse!

I came back about 2-3 weeks ago.
Met Dimzz and joined Ashen - was suprised how many people were still around or left and came back.

Was hardcore WOW raider for a year go to pimped T5 crud as a healdin and burned out - DDO is fun and easy and relaxing so bak partime
Got my monk to 13 in 2 weeks - slow compared to old days but dang hard to find midlin groups that arent suck

I was the daddy warbucks of the time to some degree - eightball probably had more but most of the OC (my old guild) shot down their accounts with over 1-2M each in the bank easy

I am in the propehts of the new republic and the free companions. Ellistran, Doktr, Salomane, etc. in prophets and in the free companions a cast of thousands yeah old 8ball, nakkid, mavnimo, spyral, etc. etc...

I actually don't know who is still drifitng around from Organized Confusion. Don't think any in Free Companions that I can recall - think they all left the game..

Well Organized Confusion was 6 of us - we just looked like more - raid machines - first to beat titan and reaver on old khyber and we used to loot titan 2 man - only way to make it fun....but yeah loot running on those old +1 weeks with 6-7 capped each and doing it for like 40 hours straight to exhaustion -- good times

Only OCers who are back are me and Olvan/Lejes - you remember lejes the creater of the current popular WF high con high int build

Twink gear sells really well btw. Like +3/4/5 stat items that are rr or even at the correct level without the other BS mods. Good weapons at 4/6/8.

Now you know who was also rich that quit... Cray. That dude had +5 elemental weapons day 1. Then again, there is Ryes, who is always broke...
