Sorry if this is obvious but after searching and checking the keys and help I don't see an obvious answer.
Is there any way to command your summoned creature to stay in one spot or anything else more complex?
Thanks in advance.

Bummer but thanks for the response![]()
They're not supposed to, at least not entirely, have a mind of their own. That's what the "summoned creature control" is about. Without that, both in PnP and DDO, the creature will often turn on you.
Turbine's not exactly renowned for their astonishing ai mechanics though.

Britches and Hose kidnapped my dog and are forcing him to farm Shroud ingredients.
Turbine IS planning a revamped creature summoning system. I wouldn't be surprised if fruits from those efforts are part of the hireling system, which due to a managerial directive got a significantly higher priority.
I also wouldn't be surprised if that system is also employed later on for summons.
Basically devs are aware of the limitations and have stated they want to change them.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.
Unfortunately, summoned creatures are a bit bugged at the moment, and do seem to have a mind of their own. They sometimes do exactly the opposite of what they're supposed to. Sad but true.
PET OOZES!Slimes...I don't make friends with em. I just whack em with my trusty muckbane.
