Default +2 Tomes for 20th run?

So in the Shroud I have had a few toons reach their 20th runs so far. Now getting +2 and +3 set of tomes as part of your choice for an end reward is great. I have a bit of a complaint though. Why is it that +2 Tomes from the Shroud 20th reward list are bound? Seeing as how +2 tomes are far more common now it just makes little sense to bind those +2 tomes. Man, not all but many, of the characters able to make it through 20 runs of the Shroud need +3 tomes and so if they dont get a +3 tome they need it makes more sense to allow them access to +2 tomes they can use at their discretion. Binding them seems a waste of time more often then not.

    Just my thoughts.

Because a 20th reward list is a list of raid loot - raid loot by definition always binds on acquire.

Whatever items appear on any raids 20th reward list should always be binding for this reason. Just because the raid doesn't have a raid loot chest doesn't mean that any items the devs choose to put on the reward list should not be binding. We should merely be grateful they put anything there at all.

I disagree. Now VoN 6 can drop +2 tomes and I agree that those should be bound as they always have. It's a special item for that level of raid and is appropriate. Now I do agree that maby raid loot should be bound but if that is the case then can we please drop +2 tomes as a 20th reward and just make it +3 tomes? Otherwise unbined the "raid loot" tomes which are equivilant to an item we can loot or get as an end reward from every quest in Meridia. otherwise there's really nothing special about it.

Because you could then use your 6 capped characters to get 6 unbound +2 stat tomes all different. If the list was a random 1 or 2 unbound +2 tomes sure. But since you get a choice of all of them, it would overpower the old time players even more because all their new characters would be 44 point characters upon creation.

That and I always believe that the 20th completion is to reward the character that completed it, not the players account.

I am, for all intents and purposes, right up there with the definition of a meta gamer. I run the Shroud more times a week then I care to remember. yet still... I have pulled a total of 14 +2 tomes from regular quests and only completed two 20th runs of the Shroud. Now Im positive more people have completed more runs but on average more +2 UNBOUND tomes drop from Vale quests then from Shroud 20th runs so I doubt it's going to be unbalanced.

But say I agree with you. Then just get rid of the +2 tomes as end rewards for the Shroud. Make them all +3 or come up with something useful. I would take a Gem of Dominion or a Pure Essence of Poisitive Energy or almost any other combined componant for crafting rather then an end reward we can get from regular quests.

I have a much greater complaint that in Hound and Vod don't drop tomes very much and are much more like reaver in terms of incentive then at the level they are should be. The reasons for continuing to keep running those two quests are becoming less and less.
