Default first time making green steel cleric goggle.

    T1: +1 Wis Skills Wiz 6,
T2: +2 Wis Skills Spell Power
T2 Bonus: Aspect of Earth: Summon Dense Stone Earth Elemental (2/rest)

T3: +3 Wis Skills, Greater Spell Power
T3 Bonus: Earth Earthgrab Guard (chance to immobilize)?

    qns:

+1+2+3= 6 wis skills does it stack with the +6 wis neck i already have?
wiz 6 do not stack with current wiz items?

any other better advice than this?

It is a bonus to wis skills. Not to wis directly. You will be able to Spot better.

And yes it does stack with other skill-increasing modifiers

    1. the +6 is on Wisdom SKILLS, not the Wisdom score.
    2. Wizardry 6 on item will not stack with any other Wizardry items.

    Hope that helps.......................

Wiz VI (+150 sp) for the first Tier upgrade is best avoided. Other nice Cleric items (like the Hound necklace) already have Wiz VI and Wiz VII (+175) and Archmagi (+200) are already available and better. You might shrug at the difference between an extra 25 or 50 sp now, but you will not when Wiz VIII and higher items become available in the future.

Tell us a bit more about you current build and equipment and we can be more help.

agree with shane1122, if only i could undo the wiz VI.

i have 3 x earth on my cleric via bracers. don't mind the earthgrab that triggers, the eles are ok along with a bezekira when u need a small army (make sure you summon b4 u buff!).

I always gets me how people say the Hound Necklace is "available" - like you can walk down to the QuijyMart and pick one up. Never seen a Wiz VII or Archmagi item even pulled.

But, wait... why would anyone bother with getting a Wiz VI item, Wiz VIII are going to be available in the future!! You said so!

Maybe, just maybe, some people don't have a Hound Necklace "Available" or maybe the more important part is the stacking +1 to xxx Skills!?!?! ( I went Chr skills myself to help with my UMD, Haggle, Diplo, etc. ). +6 stacks-with-everything to an entire set of skills at Tier III is pretty dang good.

Kinda funny nobody is suggesting anything OTHER than Wiz VI - or Not Wiz VI as the case may be. What would you do Instead for a cleric on the SP boosting side?

Good question. Personally I would pick either a greater elemental resist, or blindness ward+disease immunity. They are pretty much the only bonuses that are "situational" (and I would not put a non situational effect on an SP item that you can swap out as soon as you spent a few SPs).

    Default For a Cleric

For a cleric I would recommend an existential stalemate item. That tier II bonus gives you wisdom +6, in addition to +10 diplomacy and +10 haggle. The haggle may mean you do not need to carry a separate haggle item to switch in, and the wisdom means you do not need a separate wisdom item to wear.

Lorrik's Necklace from the hound does have +6 wisdom and Wizardry VI as mentioned above, but I like to keep my options open, and personally wear +6 con necklace and spell pen VII belt (belt of the seven ideals).

It is nice to have one item that gives the wisdom bonus, and spell points altogether.

Additionally, if you do any kind of melee activity, I would consider another spot other than goggles (perhaps gloves or cloak) because the best goggles in game are the Tharne's goggles which add +5 to hit, and +8 to damage. If you do not do any melee type activity with the character, goggles is a great spot to put your wisdom/ spell point item.

haha, no. While a lead designer's job is to balance the game as a whole, each system designer (and each level designer/content guy) is responsible for their own little bit of the game. So as such, I balance spells/enhancements, graal has items and treasure, and Eladrin runs around going "raaar!" a lot. I think he does monsters.

    Druid,
I put Wiz VI on my first set of goggles for my cleric, and like many others I have spoken to, now find that it was a mistake. When I made the goggles there was no Wiz VII and the only Archmagi item was Skiver, so it was a good choice. I have now pulled other items with Wiz VI and above and wish I had a different Tier I upgrade. This is just one fact of crafting that adds to the grind. As new Mods and new items come out... yesterday's crafted item is not as useful as it once was. This is why so many are asking for the ability in game to deconstruct crafted items and get their hard won ingredients back. Why not share this with the OP so he does not end up in the same situation?

I also disagree that it is difficult to get the Hound Necklace. At least on Ghallanda, Hound is the new Reaver and many are nearing run 40. Lots of people have already pulled what they need from that Raid and are running for Tomes (just like the old Reaver days) and Raid Loot is frequently given away or rolled on. Archmagi items drop in Vale quests (rarely but they do) and the AH always has several Wiz VII items for sale. The VoD ring has Wiz VII and the VoD bracers have Archmagi. This stuff is still top end gear, but not as rare as it once was. As was stated above, if the OP is already running Shroud and crafting he can be run the other Raids as well.

What would I build if I started again?

    Tier I +10 HP + 1 Con skills (pos)
Tier II +50 SP (pos) +2 Cha skills
    Res clickie (saves me scrolls)
Tier III +100 sp (pos) +3 Cha skills
    Greater Disruption Guard

I would lose the +1 Cha skills that comes with Wiz VI, but I'll take a loss of 1 point towards UMD and haggle to gain 10 hp and 50 sp (Archmagi).

If your cleric is capable of running the Shroud and gathering enough ingrediants to make an item, then your cleric is more than capable of running the hound enough to pul Lorriks Necklace.
