I have this exact issue. Other than very rare times, I really dont have lag almost anywhere else in the game. But part 1 of the shroud is almost unplayable. Part 4 and 5 are a little better.

Basically, it seems like i am 3 to 6 seconds behind the action. This is because people are talking in voice chat about things that happen before they do on my screen.

The other main characteristic is that it looks and sounds like everyone is swing on the portal or the fiend simultaneously. There is a "bump bump bump" rythem to all the swings, and the health drops on the portal/fiend each time that "bump" sound occurs of everyone swinging at the same time. It's like the game falls behind, and then just lumps all actions into a single moment every second.

Anyways, I doubt its machine or ISP based as it really happens no where else for me. Just those 3 parts (worst is 1) and like Kargon, the more melee swinging the worse it is. We've even tried to ask for no AOE spells in part one...no change.

For a while I had the same issue with the Shroud - no crippling lag anywhere else, but the Shroud was ridiculous. Sometimes I would be so lagged out in part 5 that I could hear the party celebrating the victory while I stood in place, unable to move, for the next 3-5 minutes while I watched the battle play out. I had all but quit running any character besides my ranger because all I had to do was get to one spot and stand and shoot. Running my cleric was a near death sentence.

Now, I'm not recommending this, just sharing. I recently reformatted my computer - complete wipe and reinstall of everything. Lots of reasons - honestly wasn't thinking of DDO when I decided to do this. But, now that it's done, my Shroud lag is essentially gone.
