Default Force ritual - wounding, weakening, etc.

Does adding the force damage ritual (the 1 point of damage one that happens on every hit) count when determining if wounding or weakening goes off?

What I mean is, currently, if you do 0 damage to a critter (due to DR), then the wounding, weakening, etc. effects do not go off...

If you do the 1 point of damage due to the force ritual, will that count and allow the wounding, weakening, etc. effect to process?

One would assume no. It has to be part of base damage, and force damage isn't figured into that. It's just an additional effect, like flaming, except it's force.

Glad I didn't bind one for this reason then!

The description says for any attack that does damage, hence force damage does damage, and the primary stat damage should take place.
