What gets me is you guys advertise this on the forums by talking about it...it's pretty sad when you think about it-viscious cycle-and then somebody tries again and then someone will have to make another one. So maybe instead of whining the moot point and broadcasting your uberness over what is supposedly an 'ELITE' channel (even the new channel has the stink of this-or people who think they can put themselves on that level) you should concentrate a bit more on your tells and guild action instead of posting gripes about it on the forums which leads to having other people talking about it and wanting in. Pretty pathetic when you really think about it, considering you will always have people on the outside looking in who want in, so all you are advertising is that you think that your 'asscent' doesn't stink when in all actuality it does...

Is it any wonder why some people do not have these issues...oh wait, association by *****dom, it's a wonder how some people have managed to avoid the issues at all and still have no issues by not using these outlets...

Erekose, u know that the only way to ensure victory and loot comes from being apart of an even more exclusive channel... Its our guild channel, and membershp has its privilages. Its handy that ppl cannot hide that they r n the guild.

yes i agree discussing on the forums might not be the right place but calling people elitist because they want a private channel to play with a select group of players is bogus. most if not all the folks who group up in the am channel are members of many channels and account for a high percentage of lfms on any givin day, i am a member of 3 private channels, join many lfms and form groups for quest of all levels but on occasion i like to zerg with some of the best players on the server and get my uber loot fast and furious. the best way to keep the channel small is to make a list of the core group you want and stick to it

AM channel was never elite, nor did the people who were in there ever think so.

It evolved, now half the server is in there. It is now like a live LFM for regular players.

What I want to to be apart of a channel with the core group of friends (and you know who you are) that were in the original AM list. And to leave it like that. This may be only 6-8 in total. I play in off-peak times and these friends were on in the time, all the time.

AM channel isn't broken, it still works and will continue to work.

this does make me laugh. it is funny how this turned out. u take a good idea of forming a channel with the people that u enjoy playing with and ruin it because you threw a label on it that it was some elitist thing (whether intended or not ) and it became so ordinary that none of you can stand it. it was as if u werent cool if u werent in the club and nobody did have the beans to say no to a friend. i am far from being well recieved on this server, lol, many of you can't stomache when people dont kiss ur a$$ and worse than that arent impressed by ur uberness or lack of, but be that as it may i have had it thrown in my face that i was not part of the am channel recently. i laughed, partly because the person said it i consider better than that, and partly because ive seen the stroking that goes with being involved with this channel. for a server that is so gung ho about being fair and right, whether that be ripping someone off on a trade or ninja-ing raid loot ( both topics i personally have commented on before i am also not exempt), it is funny to me some of the classless people that have been stroking themselves to be apart of the mighty am channel. my response to being excluded was that i didnt care and to be honest i would rather run nothing but solo content than party with some of the uber am channel peeps. that is not to criticize everyone in the am channel, i have a lot of good friends in the channel and they know who they are. but because u are in a channel doesnt make u special or uber, and it sure doesnt make you a person people absolutely want to play with and thats exactly whats going on. funny when ur blacklist and channel list overlap, might as well call it the argo channel and invite everyone. ill pass. i do find it funny that people would rather do those raids withing their precious channel and fail than get the players outside the channel that would make it work. ill be honest i understand that there is a need to zerg and there is a need to be relaxed, thats why im in one channel ( not my own) that i play with a more zerging crowd, and another ( that i did set up ) meant for a more relaxed environment. just figured that although i wish my friends in the am channel the best and the channel they were looking for that it does make me chuckle that people can forget about checking their friends lists and go with such a mediocre group of ubers that they are failing quests and pointing fingers.

Wow, wut a thread. Ill say this to spew a few coppers. ive seen the late night crowd outright laugh and criticize players not in the know about a tactic or qst. Seems a know it all attitude is alive 24 hrs a day, and the new players suffer even more.

And the late night crew will take 6 Pugs who have never been in a Vision raid and still get completion...If people don't want to stick around they can always hit recall and leave the group anyways if they feel that they can't handle the fire from other players. I mean if someone is going to be deadweight in a quest, then shouldn't they be guided in whatever way to at least be somewhat of an asset to the group?

Reminds me of the guy who said '3 rogues, 1 Cleric, no Bard-you guys will never finish this Shroud with this group...' Yeah, after someone told him if he didn't like it he could leave, well then guess what, that guy left. Did the group suffer because this guy didn't come along? Not at all...but I can tell you this, I'm sure the guy is pro at doing Tor.

So any group that is willing to lower their standards and take in others and still get completion is way ahead of the curve...considering the fact that at times late night it's too hard to even grab pugs because there are too many people who want in because they would rather do some higher end content successfully.

So if we are making New Players suffer, then pray tell how these 'glorious' channels make it any better for New Players...You can point the finger all you want, but the late night people do not shut out people for not being in the know...we shut out people who are well-deserving of being shut out due to their actions in game.
