Deathwatch Guard is turning one!

Deathwatch Guard's first anniversary is this weekend. In addition to our in guild events, members see our forums http://dwg.guildportal.com, we are hosting two server wide-events to showcase some of the things we do.

First, on Friday September 19th Khyber DWG Permadeath will be running Catacombs for the first time as a group. Bring your level 4-6 PD character (any of the other PD guilds are welcome to join). You even have time to roll a new one and level up by then. See our rules at http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.asp...opicID=6108114.

We will also be starting with new level 1 Permadeath characters for anyone who has never tried, but is interested in checking it out.

Secondly, on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 21st) we will be renewing our powerlevelling group. Levels are TBD, but we will be focusing on levelling up twinked characters as fast as possible.

We will begin the Catacombs run/Permadeath open house at 8pm Eastern time, tomorrow Friday Sept. 19th.

Powerlevelling will be on Sunday, around 2pm Eastern, depending on who and how many people we get. We will be starting at level 1 and going as far and as fast as we can. We will play until 5pm and see how far we can get.

I just want to say thank you to all the members of DWG who have made us a strong and vibrant guild over the past year. As a part time player myself, the Officers and Captains of DWG have played a huge role in creating and molding our merry band and I just want to give a huge public thanks to all of you!

More than other guilds, the DWG Guard Commander is really just a cog in the wheel, so thanks! DWG couldn't have done it without you!

Thanks Indel. I thought there may have been a guild around at one point that was similar in name to Deathwatch Guard, however it was just a brief remembrance from early '06. Interesting to know there was one before.

I had no idea there was another one until just now. However, we always have room for more, good people.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the anniversary weekend. We had a Drunken Dragon Raid Friday night that was all guildie. It took us 4 hours 3 times through the North Doors and 3 pass-outs. It was the most fun I have had in the Dragon in a very long time!

Gorenbash won the prize for the most kills-a Club of the Holy Flame!

Elaviel won the prize for best dressed in the raid for his fearsome outfit!-Yeah, I don't remember what the prize was, but it was completely worthless!

Finally, Lhank won the prize for lava diving with his double somersault off the pillar in the north portal corridor-he won a wand of resist energy, a wand of protection from energy, and 53 potions of protection from fire!

On Saturday we a quick Trade Raid where all our good gear that we couldn't use was given out to other guild-members. This was followed by Niennah's specialty, and Elephant Tempest Spine raid. This is where every player starts with no gear except a weapon and a shield, and they MUST use the gear pulled out of the chests along way during the raid.

Finally, on Sunday, we had powerlevelling during the afternoon. Managed to new level one characters up to level 3 very quickly, and expanded our ranks for powergaming. This is open to people outside the guild, who are interesting in bring up new characters very quickly. We look for elite players, twinked out alts, and people willing to move fast and listen to direction.

The last event was sponsored by Dolarrah. I cannot thank him enough. He ran the Stormreach Harbor Olympics for levels 1-5 and 6-9. We had a "Kill the Dummy" event, where his level 16 Cleric gave our level 8/9s a free kill him. Fastest kill won a prize. The highest level event was a tavernbrawl free-for-all with the last man standing winning 100,000 Plat.

Finally, Dolarrah also sponsored a participation contest. Everyone who attended an was given one roll d20 for each event they attended. The prize: 250,000PP to be split by everyone who rolled a 1. In all our, with everyone who attended, there was only one winner. I have to thank Dolarrah very much for generosity, and DMing of the events!

I would like to thank everyone on Khybar and in DWG for making our 1st anniversary an enormous success. We all had a lot of fun. I look forward to the other events we will be having, and seeing you all in Stormreach!

Is there a PD "faction" (or whatever) of DWG? I sent a tell to a person in DWG and he had no clue about PD. Does the guild Khyber DWG Permadeath exist? What exactly is the state of PD on Khyber?
