6 shots in a min. so in a min and forty seconds you get 10 shots.
    10 shots =
    1 extra crit at a x4
current 1 crit out of 10 is x4 instead of x3
All uses have a benieft of +4 to hit (atleast I think I remember it being +4 but I don't have much trouble hitting things anways)

Then if you use many shot you have 8 arrows in that 20 seconds so only 4 shots = 10 shots with same benieft as above. If used at right time that sniper shot can easily hit 3 + mobs with 4 arrows. 3 mobs with 4 arrows = 12 "shots"

I find it funny when people look at what ranged can do that they only look at each thing seperate. Many Shot, Improved precise shot and Deepwoods sniper can all be used at the same time.

So it doesnt do what it says and actually works while manyshotting? if not its still a rather weak ability. If your really looking to use banishing or smiting on a ranged weapon then crossbows are far better choices.

Also, i wouldnt consider it all that powerful still, considering its only what? once every 2 minutes...

And I love doing it! Nothing like lining up a handful of ogres in the Ruins of GH from so far away that my husband (a cleric) is like, "What are you shooting at?" and killing three of them before they reach us. I love playing a ranged ranger!

I think that nbhs275 might be confused about the timers: Deepwoods is on a 10 sec cooldown (for sure) and Manyshot is 90 sec (IIRC).

But the timer starts when you click on the ability. So it is really a 100 second cool down and your both wrong.

(note unless the timer is actually 140 seconds and starts counting down when it is activated ... I have not actually tested to see how long the timer is just know that the timer starts while many-shot is going.)

NBHS - I mostly use bows. To have to carry around crossbows and bolts along with bows is a hassle. Then last time I checked crossbows did not fire as fast either (could be wrong as I have not used a crossbow in a long time). *Edit* Yes I do belive deepwoods does work with many-shot, I know for a fact it works with improved precise shot and is applied before improve crit range so if you have it the sniper shot is a 17-20 x4 crit range.*end edit*

Larhanya - Ya I know. My ranger is also ranged base with deepwoods. Depending on quest, I can solo anywhere from slightly worse than a mage to better than most mages so much so that alot of others don't belive some of the things I have posted about doing /shrug. Though I would have to admit I could not solo Suulo like the one mage did. However with the resources him and a cleric used in one run, I might be able to duo it with a good cleric ... I would just need a few more true rezz clickies for just in case.
