ddo not launching....

whenever i try to get on ddo it pops up the the ddo background and the white text that says like opening main form and stuff...then it just sits on the background. and then i can't close that window unless i use the task manager to close it.

Make sure you try the simple stuff like clearing your firewall exceptions and re-adding them. If you have any other security software running make sure that it's not interfering as well.

Also, try this:

1) Open your Internet browser and navigate to:

http://download.turbine.com/ddo/ddolauncher_1358_en.exe

2) Answer "Save" when prompted by the browser, and save dndlauncher_1358.exe to your DDO installation folder.

e.g. C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons & Dragons Online - Stormreach

3) Open Windows Explorer and navigate to your DDO installation folder.

4) Execute dndlauncher_1358.exe by double-clicking on it.

4) Answer "Yes to All" when prompted whether to overwrite the existing files or not.

5) Delete the Dungeons and Dragons Folder located in the My Documents folder to erase old configuration settings.

when i went to do this i figured out why it's not working. somehow all of my ddo documents got deleted so i have to reinstall ddo. thx for the help though

ok now im getting mad....i reinstalled ddo and its not showing up on my computer and everytime the setup gets done it gives this error saying that you must perform this action with administrator permission and i am the administrator. i'm stuck :/

I'm assuming you're using Vista? Try disabling UAC, for instructions on how to do this go here:

Also, if you're using Vista it may be in your Games menu and not an icon on the Desktop or in Program Files.
