Feedback on Gear selection.

Looking for feedback on how to optomize gear on my intimidate monk. What my plan is:

Head: Wisdom 6(eventually opposition+cha skills)
Neck: Con 6
Trinket: Head or bloodstone
Cloak: Cha 6
Belt: GFL (or Titan belt ideally)
Gloves: Dex 6
Boots: striding 30/FF
Bracers: Chaosgarde(Leviks Defender for when AC is less important)
Goggles: Mineral 2-45hp/heavy fort/prot 5
Ring 1: Chattering Ring
Ring 2: Intimidate 15
Docent: Defiance/+5 docent/ or Titanic docent

Weapons:

Mineral 2 kama with +4 insight AC
Mineral 2 ( effects not decided)

Any feedback on what I could do better is appreciated.

p.s. you have no resistance item, unless you plan to switch into Kardin's eye - or just not care since you're WF.

My saves will be 30+ across the board without a resistance item.

Sorry, not seeing how that's possible with gear listed. Are you including buffs (like Greater Heroism) in your calculations?

BTW...haven't seen ya in a while Lendra. You been away someplace or did you try to play some other silly game like AoC for a while?

Got laid off, and went out of town to make some money. Aggravation is in Guildless now and Corland will probably follow him soon(assuming he survives my terrible tendancy to reroll). I will post a link to Aggs build(I posted it before I left the game).

Keep in mind that doesn't list stat items, which give a +6 to saves across the board. It also doesn't take 3rd tier wind stance into account(which I won't get until level 17, but Tier 2 is still +4 to saves).

Other races would give better saves, better damage, a lot more AC, or more Intimidate...

Frankly, I got sick of dwarves. WF offers:

DR through Titanic and Defiance Docents.
Two lines of healing Arcanes at 100% and Divine at 110%
Innate immunities, because we all roll 1's.
Brute fighting means I don't have to do as much damage as the THF barb to keep aggro of all but his primary target.


Are you implying there is something in the game I can't land intimidate on with a 55+ intimidate(aside from the Hound)? 60+ ac with no buffs is an AC I am comfortable with, it may prove inadequate. But, I won't know until my gear is finished and I am all leveled. It should be sufficient in all but the highest end content, at which point I am not likely to go unbuffed. DPS was and is my biggest concern with this char. It is decent and has room to grow. To get better saves you have to really sell out in some other area. I still have an option to boost my saves, if that proves necessary.

The second incarnation will likely be an elf or drow, for rapiers. First and foremost, this is a monk. A monk that can contribute meaningfully to a party that is prepared to use his skills, and still able to contribute when an intimitank is not needed. Whether this char is a success(sp?) or not I will leave up to the people I group with to decide.
