Thread: Mail indicator

    Default Mail indicator

I know this is most likely a huge pain in the neck, and likely been suggested before, but it would be GREAT to have something that would let you know you have mail on the character sign in sheet. It would save me a lot of time during the day signing in and out of toons to see if I have mail, and allow me more time for actual play, which would make me a very happy camper.

    My two cents.

I could get behind this. I'd also really like it if they moved the "you've got mail" icon to some other position on the focus orb when it is minimized. It's really hard to do something like prep a pillar because it covers up the last 10-15% of the targets health.

Putting the symbol next to the character name in the Sign-In shouldn't be too hard, just relocate the script target after copy/pasting it.

Unless.... you are using a different system than I think you are...

Only problem with that is I think characters are independant of the account, and each character is independant of another. This system has its advantages... but a myriad of disadvantages.

The way I think you amke 32-pts is through a (probaly) complicated peice of code which somehow statically saves 32-pts (possibly as a public boolean, to keep it simple) which thereafter cannot be edited through seperate characters. Therefore, this lets each characters be seperate while character creation tied to an account.

Also, as to why two characters on the same account can't be logged in at the same time probably refers to an "always active account" running in the background, which is checked against an account trying to run, which then disconnects the active accounts and all "child" characters.

This makes my head hurt. : ( Make the spinning stop!!!!!

Hehe. How about being able to compose a mail anyway, then depositing it into the mailbox? I know I could use word, but my speak and spell laptop (It's actually a very good laptop, but it is a LAPTOP) refuses to run word and DDO at the same time.
