You of all people should know by now that logic has nothing to do with the way the enhancement system has been handled.

Maybe in combo builds but do you think so for Pure fighters?

It seems to me that at high levels, there is little benefit to going/staying pure fighter. Others can out DPS you, others have better AC,others have better DR... Fighters are just a good all around backup.. but most parties would prefer a Ranger or Barbarian. It would be nice to give fighters something special (and meaningfull) for remaining pure (or mostly pure).

I have a 16 pure fighter and wish I had splashed something else in there at some point as I am constantly out performed at all levels by hybrids (I think my fighter was top tier when level cap was 10-12, but as cap goes up, he is less and less useful -also, he is still a fine fighter in many PUGs but guilded I feel inadequete). I recall several times the Devs have said or eluded to the idea that 'if we knew what they did, we would remain pure class'. God I hope they are right. At this time (actually when cap goes up) I dont know if its worth splashing anything anymore as I never built/planned to accomodate any other classes.

My situation/choice limits me to NOT rebuilding him either ( I dont play enough and it would take me 2-3 months to cap, plus the raid loot, GS item and +2 tomes that were used took me forever to collect in the first place. For me and my level of luck..these items would take me over a year to re-collect... I dont want to hear how these things are a dime a dozen because for many unlucky players THEY SIMPLY ARE NOT COMMEN or even very rare.. more like unique).

I would LOVE to see something geared at making fighters valuable and desireable (They are by no means broken or useless, just kind of second fiddle).

I have met a few equals to Ghinsuu but its been a long time since hes been beaten. Even tho "on paper" some builds are better.

Ghinsuu is one of the few fighter builds I like. That being said, I enjoy trouncing him =p

Did you just read my NeatoMan build or what? Everything you just listed is a perfect fit, right down to the feats listed. sign me up!

Another idea is to have racial tied specialties:

Human: Gladiator theme. +INTIMIDATE +Strategy
Halfling: + to quickness or additional AC
Elf: See invisible
Drow: always on 10% blur
Dwarf: +2 stackable dr
Warforged: +2 BAB or an extra swing per round

One day ill post my super secret build (rofl) and then there will be multitudes of lil me's running around to compete with all the iron monks... (who knew they bred like rabbits).

The funny part is I get asked about the build all the time...but I have yet to see someone finish it, they always deviate at somepoint, and bow to the pressure to multiclass

Below is a post copied from the "Mod 7 was your fighter love thread" above. Eladrin (the Dev) indicates that the fighter PrCs will be Dwaven Defender, Kensai and Purple Dragon Knight. There is no info on how they will be implemented in DDO.

Yes, originally I had PDK listed as a Paladin one, but they went Defender of Siberys (Sealtiel), Knight of the Chalice, Hunter of the Dead. Purple Dragon Knight fit the fighters better as we started working on it.

Im waiting to see the implementation...but its a lil screwey so far.

Wheres my blademaster... I suppose its Kensai, but to have to have a 13 int, more ranks in things than can currently be gotten with the level cap as it stands...it doesnt lend much.
