    Default Fighter Specialties

    Do you think there will ever be fighter specialties? My 2 cents:

    Finesse builds: specialty allows you to get evasion without multi-classing

    Intimitank: bonus to Intimidate + blocking DR

    Range: would this step on ranger toes, even tho all rangers seem to be tempest TWF builds

    TWF: See ranged

    THW: +ac +sunder

    I really hope so if anything just to put a little excitement back in the fighter. The only thing is for next mod I have not heard or seen anything which considering how close we are to next mod leads me to believe there will not be anything for next mod..

    Maybe:

    Range: +1 to base crit range with ranged weapon, -1 to base crit range with melee

    or Speed up ROF

    or faster cooldown timer on manyshot

    I would like to see a Two Handed Fighting line. At least it would be something for them. Call it Meteor Strike or something.

    Or maybe a Sword and Board line that gives people an incentive to fight with a shield.

    I'd also like to see a feat that improves your accuracy. I hit monsters less than half the time because my character isn't a strength machine.

    The devs had stated it owuld start with some specialty feats for mod 8 then branch into Way of enhancement chains

    There actually is one, just not in THIS game, though it might have been a house rule.. not sure...it was called

    Gladiator- +1 to hit and +1 Ac ( dodge bonus) while wielding a one handed weapon and shield

    Also i liked

    Duelist- +2 to hit +1 AC when wielding a single one handed weapon and an empty offhand

    Berserker- +2 DR +2 to hit with 2 handed weapons
    Communication of expectations is paramount to the mission's initiation, and should not hinder party progression due to lack of understanding the objectives.

    It would be nice if fighters just got the ranger tempest enhancement: +2 AC, increase in attack speed, etc.

    I would like to see something like this for sword and board:

    Way of the Gladiator

    Requires: CE, Dodge, shield mastery, improved shield mastery

    Grants:
    • +2 AC
    • 10% increase in attack speed
    • 50% of shield DR added to main DR when not actively blocking
    • +1 bonus to attack and damage
    • +2 Intimidate

    i would like to see some love for tactical fighters

    Way of the Tactics

    Requires: CE, improved trip, stunning blow, quick draw

    Grants:
    10% increase in attack speed
    +4 to DC of tactical feats
    +1 to crit range (see multiplier)
    +1 to crit multiplier (only applicable on a mob that has been hit by a tactical feat, ie a mob hit by stunning blow not a mob stunned by symbold of stunning)
    30% faster cooldown for tactical feats

    You know what I'd do for Tactical fighters myself?

    I'd Merge:
    • Fighter Strategy (Stunning Blow)
    • Fighter Strategy (Sunder)
    • Fighter Strategy (Trip)

    Then, I'd add a three line tied with Improved Trip to make Improved Trip better.

    Available to all classes, but cheaper for fighters (2, 4, 6 versus 1, 2, 3).

    Id like to see a blademaster line.
    For us DPS fighters.

    +1 crit multiplier or range
    Alacity bonus for way of II

    Something along those lines...

    It seems to me that at high levels, there is little benefit to going/staying pure fighter. Others can out DPS you, others have better AC,others have better DR... Fighters are just a good all around backup.. but most parties would prefer a Ranger or Barbarian. It would be nice to give fighters something special (and meaningfull) for remaining pure (or mostly pure).

    I have a 16 pure fighter and wish I had splashed something else in there at some point as I am constantly out performed at all levels by hybrids (I think my fighter was top tier when level cap was 10-12, but as cap goes up, he is less and less useful -also, he is still a fine fighter in many PUGs but guilded I feel inadequete). I recall several times the Devs have said or eluded to the idea that 'if we knew what they did, we would remain pure class'. God I hope they are right. At this time (actually when cap goes up) I dont know if its worth splashing anything anymore as I never built/planned to accomodate any other classes.

    My situation/choice limits me to NOT rebuilding him either ( I dont play enough and it would take me 2-3 months to cap, plus the raid loot, GS item and +2 tomes that were used took me forever to collect in the first place. For me and my level of luck..these items would take me over a year to re-collect... I dont want to hear how these things are a dime a dozen because for many unlucky players THEY SIMPLY ARE NOT COMMEN or even very rare.. more like unique).

    I would LOVE to see something geared at making fighters valuable and desireable (They are by no means broken or useless, just kind of second fiddle).

    Sometimes MC'd, sometimes alone.

    The biggest problem with PrE's:
    • Class-based, rather than archetype-base
    • Lack of tier II and III

    I'd be Eladrin, and I would create Tier I to III before releasing any more PrE.

    Take all of the Weapon focus(fighter only anyhow) feats and recieve

    Weapon Spec
    Greater Weapon Focus
    Greater Weapon Spec
    IMP crit

    for each weapon type once you have all the focus feats

    Just an idea

    weapon master

    2 gtr wpn focus, 2 gtr wpn spec (for qualify)
    +2 attack, +4 damage extra
    extra attack speed

    I would be interested in a "way of the tactician" line.. May require either improved trip or stunning blow, cleave, and greatcleave

    Whenever you use stunning blow or improved trip, the attack is made as if it was a cleave.

    They should look at the fighting style feats in complete warrior.

    Did you just read my NeatoMan build or what? Everything you just listed is a perfect fit, right down to the feats listed. sign me up!
