Are you sword and board, thf, or twf? Use bludgeoning weapons for skeletons (mauls, maces, clubs), slashing for zomibes (sickles, longswords, greatswrods, not shortswords) for harming the ghostly skeletons in deleras, you either need to use th club of the silver flame or a holy or pure good weapon. To harm incorpreal creatures, use a ghost touch weapon. Higher enhancement bonuses help too. Also, if you can afford it, but a diruption weapon.

My main (S&B - not Barbarian) Disposes of Undead (ANY type) with a +3 Acid Heavy Mace of Greater Undead Bane. Power Attack and since my DEX item slot has the Spectral Gloves....there´s no Love Lost for Incorporeals

Spectrals are IMO probably the single most powerful, farmable and useful non Raid Loot item out there.

    My suggestions:

Low-level: Use Holy blunt weapons. Better stuff exists, but you aren't low level long enough to bother hunting it down.

Mid-level (7-10): Lots of Incorporal undead at this level (assuming you are powerlevelling and hence farming The Shadow Crypt). You can use a Ghost Touch weapon of any of Pure Good, Lesser, Normal or Greater Undead Bane, or a RR Disruptor (which won't be GT) on them. But for that matter, my +2 ghost touch rapier of righteousness is enough to tear these apart anyway.

High Level (11-14) and Endgame (15-16)

Vampires: Holy Silver of Greater Bane if rednamed, Vorpal otherwise (Transmuting of Greater Bane fine too)
Wheep: Transmuting of Greater Bane on hard/elite; Disruptor on norm
Cinderspawn: Disruptor; Transmuting of Greater Bane if rednamed
Blackbone Skeleton: Disruptor; Transmuting of Greater Bane if rednamed
Blackbone Arcane: Transmuting of Greater Bane
Spectre: Ghost Touch of Disruption (GToD)
    Wraith: GToD
    Quell: GToD
    Zombie: Disruptor
Doomsphere: Ghost Touch of Greater Bane

Or to sum it up: GToD on anything susceptible that hasn't got amazing saves; Transmuting of Greater Bane on most others.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Or just spectral gloves/ethereal bracers... and holy greater undead bane on everything but the doomsphere, in which case anarchic. Disruptors paired with those work well too.

So far my favorite set is Transmuting of Disruption. Full base weapon damage on all undead including vampires, skellies and zombies, etc.. plus disruption. And ignore the low DC on the disruption, just think of it as an undead vorpal that procs when the mob rolls a 1, rather than you rolling a 20. Either way its a 5% chance.

This is everything you'll ever need for any undead.

    • Ethereal Bracers
    • Transmuting of Disruption - for 99% of all undead
    • Transmuting of Greater Undead Bane - for red named undead immune to disruption

I'm surprised that no one mentioned dual wielding sunblades at mid levels. I know I had allot of fun with my pair.

At high end just throw your greater undead banes away and use your minerals. Transmuting with a good stack of holy and acid damage. Most undead take full from both.

I guess if we are on the tangent of extremely hard-to-get items, I prefer using my Phase Hammer. +3 adamantine maul of greater incorporeal bane. oh yeah! My thf barb cleans up ghosts faster than the old school firewalls used to.

A greensteel mineral II weapon from shroud is all you need for undead at end game. It takes a lot of farming the Vale and Shroud to craft one though. A triple positive weapon from Shroud is also great (greater disruption), but may not bypass the damage reduction depending on what weapon you craft.

A lot of undead at current end game often has deathward, so disruption may not work.
