ddo examining programs

i tried to load up lotro and then cancelled it because it didnt seem to be working properly , now ddo wont load, everything works fine till the examining programs function starts then it just sits there on waiting forever

I am also having the same problem, nothing past "Examining Programs." Live chat isn't online to assist me on Sundays.

Just on the outside chance it might be happening, Microsoft's automatic updates sometimes updates your firewall files. The new programs, or old programs opening for the first time sine the update, some times are blocked. I have my Automatic updates turned off, because i had this problem a few months ago.

You might want to disable your firewall and Virus protection for a few minutes and try loading DDO again. If it works you know where the problem is. If it doesnt, at least you'll know its not you.

I would not disable the firewall protection, just go into your firewall and remove then re-add the exceptions for DDO and see if that helps.

I just reinstalled, all-day as I have the original April 2006 discs, and it works fine now.
