No, it should not. The right amount would be 100 or otherwise unreachably high.

Why not? I can easily can think of reasons why to add one.

So go ahead and mention a reason you think it would be a good idea.

Here's a reason why not: Because it would create a situation where activating Combat Expertise would have no effect, except for reducing attack rolls. The function of the CE and Dodge feats is supposed to be to get better AC than characters that don't have/use them, but your proposed change would nerf those feats so that instead of strictly providing better AC, they instead give you the option to forgo certain AC-boosting equipment.

Dodge bonuses are things that should stack. That's what "dodge bonus" means.

We both know that CE and Dodge are both feat bonus, in DDO.

None of them makes reference to Dodge bonus. They aren't, in DDO. They should as feat bonus, and that's what they are.
(Or miscellaneous bonus, if you want proper D&D terminology.)

The current problem with why dodge bonuses are always sought after is that they always stack. More dodge bonus means more AC.

That's what makes everyone grind for Chattering Ring, Chaosgarde and Icy Rainment. If a cap would be implemented, the question would rather be what source of Dodge AC do I want to reach my cap. This one goes in the ring slot, that one in the bracer slot, that one... you get the point. Then, you could also add new items giving various Dodge bonuses. Since they stack, +1 dodge AC on a ring could be nice, but not overpowering as it does not increase your AC potential. (Currently, any item giving +1 Dodge would be very powerful.)

Basicly, the lack of gear would not be (usually) represented by signifcantly lower AC.

Why nerf? Stuff was put in that way INTENTIONALLY.

The way to benefit SB fighters is break DnD rules, get better shields. Higher +'s.
    Shields with dodge bonuses!
Armor with higher +'s and dex limits!

And do me a favor, take your points to another thread: this was designed for Zeal, in which we've learned the truth. If you wanna keep bashing splashing toons for AC and bonuses, make a thread for it :-)

So, you never make mistakes? You nerf something you made too powerful.

Sometimes, it's best to buff other attirbutes. Sometimes, it's simply just better to nerf. Not because it's easier, because it's better.
