Default WTT: Stave of the Seer

If your not familiar with it, has a nice clicky of true seeing (the only one in the game might I add).

+1 Quarterstaff, +2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom, +5 Use Magical Device, True Seeing 1/day

    Would prefer 3-4 or so larges (I understand it's worth about a scale and a 1-2 random larges after much discussion with people) this is what I need right now (please do not low ball me, I wont even respond, make it reasonable and we can work together most people know I am easy going kinda guy);

Larges: I need, bones(2), Scales(4), Arrowhead(3), Stone(1) so basically a little of all of them.

Plat may be offered but nothing less that 250kpp. Just becuase I would rather have the ingredients

If you think I am asking too much, you have every right to your opinion, just make another thread about it please to cpmalin about how expensive everyone is asking for things.

Gotta kinda go with the OP on this one. I think that Stave is pretty tight really. The true seeing clickie is great for almost all end level quests now. It's especially nice for those who value self sufficiency.

More importantly is the plus 5 to UMD. Sure it can't be used for scrolls/wands but it can make even any character with UMD as a cross skill be able to use almost any weapon in the game.

    9 ranks
    2 cha bonus
    4 GH
    5 stave of seer-

20- BAM can equip 75% of items even if you're not the proper RR. If you have ranger levels and/or are human the skill boost can take it much higher than this, without having to splash a UMD class.

The +5 UMD is great but not for weapons, shields, wand, or scrolls because the staff itself it two handed. For those items the best thing is the golden cartoush (SP?) out of Delera's. However, it is great for all other items - helms, armor, bracers, rings, boots, belts. For that reason alone it has great value. If you've got some UMD and can afford those +8 Armor Bracers (RR Ooze) on the AH then a Staff of the Seerer is a VERY valuable item to have. The True Seeing is a nice plus too since I don't think there is a wand or potion with that effect. Like with most things the value of the item is all based on need and/or want. For the UMD using character this is a very sweet item. For the slashing no UMD tank it's a once a day click stick and/or two handed box breaker of little worth.

Monetary wise sure I am ripping them off. I wanted to steer people away from offering that. I want the ingredients and I think 3-4 larges (which are extremely over priced anyways) is a fair deal. Sure I can grind and grind for the ingredients, but I don't have the time nor does this game consume me enough to do so, I get bored. I play it for fun not the end game grind.

And Lithic do you ever have anything positive or constructive to say? Maybe I just need to spell it out, I was going to vendor it and just on a whim in guild chat asked if it was vendor trash and a bunch chimed in no. Maybe that's not exactly ape ****, but it's not a whoop-t-do. Go troll somewhere else. Because you certainly add nothing of worth to any thread you post in.

Incorrect, the UMD applies to weapons and shields. The umd check happens while you are still holding the staff for weapons you want to equip.

Really? I'll have to check that because that didn't used to be the case. (I have one on my UMD Cleric) If that is so then the staff is that much more valuable.

You sir are correct. I checked last night and it did work for weapons as well. My bad. The Staff is even more valuable than I thought... glad I didn't sell mine back in the day when I got it. LOL!

Yes I sometimes have positive things to say. You would have recieved such a positive post had you been lowballing yourself on a good item. Trying to rip off people who don't know any better by pretending your guild was going all crazy for a sub-par item so you can get 3-4 larges for it (lol) brings out the sarcasm in me.

And hefty, smurf calling the sky blue much? Your recent post on how much you've ripped off other players speaks much louder than anything I could ever say to you.

if thats how u took it i apologize i tried to clarify that for the people with less capacity. guess i gotta drop it down a level for u. and i do think the op hit it on the head, cuz yeah there are a lot of people who can me mean at times on these forums, including myself, but NOBODY contributes less and says absolutely nothing positive more than urself. u remind me of a the little sister of this guy i knew growing up. she also had nothing to say but made sure she gave her 2 cents as often as possible. bottom line is that if the op wants to try and get 500 larges for the item thats his perogitive, doesnt mean he will get it, but let him try. for someone who posts so often on these trade forums, i cant remember too often u actually trading anything, just nagging a lot. so let the op do his thing and u go back to doing ur thing, farming desert tokens for ur big loot pulls.

3-4 larges excluding scales are worth relatively equal to any above mediocre weapon/armor in my eyes (so no where near AH prices). And as you can see, While you may not have much need for this item the relative item value is low to you, by looking at your range of toons (in your sig) you really have no use of it, but it it hard to tell w/o specifics.

And the fumy thing is that that's the whole essence of bartering is you start high then work to a common medium. Hence the phrase "we can work something out". If by chance some one gets ripped off in your eyes or you get ripped off is subjective. I know I've been ripped off for something I really wanted. But I REALLY wanted it. For someone that grinds and grinds the Shoud and has extra larges they may never uses, this item could be looked as free. So as long as two parties agree, nobodies getting ripped off. Since when did you become the DDO version "Antiques roadshow" you opinion is is just that an opinion and not a state of fact.

Your sarcasm was smart and funny the first 10-15 posts then after that it get old, boring and childish. So please in my threads if you can't keep it out (the sarcasm) then please don't post.
