The 1800 Barrier

As a human with 38Wis (Tier III Mace) and Tier III SP goggles I am at 1765. Human could get you the 38 Wis, but I think your overall spell points would drop significantly since you would lose the Dwarven Faith Spell Point line of Enhancements.

The difference between 37 and 38 Wis is only 25 spell points. Dwarven Faith line of Enhancements is 15 + 30 + 45 +60 = 150. All things being equal, the Dwarf will always have 125 more spell points. Max pure cleric Human spell points are 1805 and Dwarf 1930.

uh, no, Toughness is the only enhancment thats additive liek that.

Dwarven faith is 15+15+15+15 = 60

My bad. In that case A dwarf cleric (Wis 37) could have 35 more spell points than a Human (Wis 38)? Not sure 35 spell points is a fair trade for a Feat and slightly higher Wis.

Can you explain your build/kit. I am not getting how you can be at 1825 as a pure cleric with no Archmagi item based on the above.

Check my original calculation. The answer is yes .. and if you as a dwarf could access the abbot trinket, you could also hit the 38 wisdom mark which make you 60 sp ahead of human version (since 39 wisdom on human wasn't really give any advantage over 38 wisdom dwarf)

Aside of the wisdom score and extra feat (and 1 extra skill point), dwarf got access to Toughness line enhancement and Dwarf Spell Defense (enhancement as well); also get better AC against giant type -- I would say, it's quite compareable.




For Stealing Monkey's 1825 -- go check my calculation chart as well, assume he got 37 wisdom (-25 from 1875) and doesn't have arch magi item(-25 from 1850, assume he got wizardry VII item) then you got it.

However, my original conclusion was incorrect.. I think a Dwarf CLE14/SOR1/RGR or PAL1 can make most sp in the current system ( if you are so eager to spell point and don't mind to do wired multiclass splash...)

and it deosnt matter what level you take the sorc level. you get the same bonus if you take it at 1 as you do if ya take it at 13. i know this as me and a guildie have identical clerics, excpet she took sorc at 1 and i took sorc and 12.

Sorry but you are wrong in what you are saying. It does matter what level you take it at and if you don't believe me just make a Sorc lvl 1 with whatever Cha you like and see what his sp are to start, then delete him and make another character with the same Cha but start him as something else that doesnt' get sp and then take sorc at level 2 and you will see that you do not have the same sp. I also verified this with a friend of mine who took the sorc level at 16 and I have more sp devoid of all items with same stats and same enhancements. Not trying to be a jerk but please do some research before you call someone out.
