    Default Enemy Casters suggestion

Well, i understand that the enemies need the infinite sp to spam spells in order to make up the lacking of proper AI.
However, do they SERIOUSLY need INFINITE sp? What if we give them the amount of sp a min/max sorcerer can get at that lvl, wouldn't that be more than enough for the encounter? And while at it, show their sp bar in the orb too so we can actually plan out which caster to go for first by judging their sp reserve.
    wishful thinking, i know... D=
PS: Greensteel RUINED the game! and you all know it!
    less buffing, more nerfing!!!
to make it easier for those of you that wants to avoid me in game, all my characters are in "Bladesworn Mercenaries"

unfortunately, anything less than infinite is incredibly easy to take advantage of.

Actually, I believe I read a quote from a dev somewhere stating that casters don't have unlimited sp, but that the encounter doesn't last long enough for them to go through it all. Considering that they get to blow all their sp at one time, while we have to measure it out for an extended time. If I was less lazy, I'd try to find it, but I'm lazy today.

That having been said, I don't think it's entirely accurate, since I've seen enemy casters go for a REALLY long time, spamming their spells in a futile attempt to get me.

Best example is players soloing quests and even raids. Without infinite mana some of those encounters would loose their challenge after a bit.

I've spent 4 hours fighting solo against the abbot to ge.t data on saves and spells and the like...so if he doesnt have infinite spell points he comes pretty darn close.

I don't think you can state that raid bosses accurately reflect the common caster in the common quest. He may very well have infinite mana, or have a sp regen effect. But we can't extrapolate (oooh, my $10 word for the day) from him that all enemy casters do.

F.E.A.R.'s ai would have been more impressive if the player weren't privy to audio bytes that told you which script they were running.

even F.E.A.R. ai was easy to abuse once you took the time to figure it out.

ai improvements would go along way, but we'll always be able to 'wait out the blue bar' if we're given the opportunity.

Unless it was a functionally-infinite amount, such as enough mana for a kobold to keep casting for 5 hours straight. But if the spellpoints are going to be that high, why even bother programming them? Leave them fully infinite.

Actually I don't belive they have infinite SP it is just that they can regen SP. Just for instance look at your Efreeti pet. If you have him targeted you will see his mana bar full and then he will start spamming spells. When his bar empties he will melee for a bit and then when he has enough for a spell he will turn and move away from the fight and cast another spell. I have also noticed that Kobalds will do this especially on elite low lvl quests. If you stand in a place where there lightening bolt and stuff can not hit you they will cast it a few times then run up and melee a bit then turn and run away in order cast another spell. Same thing the efreeti pet does.

sure as hell not the one that's standing on the pillar near the ambush in ww3
you hide behind the corner and it'll just keep spamming niac's, lightning bolt, fog, and scorch
