Default Is mod 8 fighter love mod?

At this point the developers are probably approaching the QA of the mod 8 dev cycle so there will probably be few to little dramatic development changes for mod8. I have heard they will be making some changes to paladins and perhaps adding some tactical feats this mod. The question I have is will there be significant changes to the fighter class such as nice new fighter enhancements. The developers have hinted in the past that there will be new fighter enhancements, feats, etc. coming soon. I would love some sort of teaser so I can get excited about what mod 8 has in store for my fighter, norg. I would love any teaser really because at gen con we got some word on the new high end content, the new player experience, and henchmen, but nothing really on the class/race/spells/feats front.

You should know by now that "coming soon" means 2 or so mods down the road...so look for your new tactical feats after they cater to snagging new players with the NPE...my guess is MOD 9 for fighter love Or perhaps the fighter love was the "top secret" something they were holding onto for the past couple months...

Makes you wonder...are they REALLY doing anything to improve the game? I mean...no WDA...gencon was pathetic(okay, a few new quests that will be over with in a day or two, henchmen(lol), and new starting are for new players(and we don't even know if we get extra character slots or not...which we should...)...wat...thats it? But we still hear about this "top secret" wouldn't it have been somewhat wise to hint at it a little in gencon? Or say theres loads of new spells, enhancements, and whatnot?

I don't think they get the concept of marketing...Your supposed to say things that make people wanna buy, or continue playing the game...

I took the liberty of copying snippets of the OP's post on the need for pally love which was posted after this post on fighter love, but got more fanfare and a dev's response. The fighter should get some love as well. It is rapidly becoming a dinosaur.

I see very few reasons to go above paladin level 11, and no reasons to go over paladin 14.
The fighter version is I see no reason to go above fighter level 12.

TWF is far better than S/B, especially without GS shields.
    fighter version is the same.

Intimitanking is the only reason to go above level 12 with a fighter it would seem at the moment.

    Even there, it's limited.

Yes, and very few fighters have put points into intimidate. It makes me sad.

Shield feat tree that leads to a very useful shield feat would have win written all over it by leading somewhere other than twf and being viable all at the same time. A magically delicious GS shield would be cool too.

It should be fighter love. We need
    * 3 or 4 exclusive fighter specialties (defender, duelist, samurai, maybe even mageslayer)
    * new enhancements like Fighter CE and Fighter PA (both of which provide a bonus on attack rolls in that mode)
    * fixes to non-useful combat feats
    * added missing combat feats
    * add new combat feats requiring X fighter levels, such as Overwhelming Attack
    * 4 or 5 Tome of Battle feats, each providing a stance and a strike (such as Diamond Mind: Pearl of Black Doubt + Time Stands Still)

None of that stuff would be especially difficult either... all of it would be easier than adding monks.

I'm not a big PnPer, its been many years...but all this sounds great, and very much needed.

I'm not sure about the tome of battle stuff... that could get a little twitchy

otherwise I agree (though I still stand by the whole PrE standpoint of they should be based on Feats Feature and SKill ranks and not Class Levels)

    Improved Crit Range for Fighters:

I don't understand why a class that is purely based around skillfull melee can't aquire the skill set to broaden the crit range further like the battle raged and frenzied barbarians.

Sure it'll make them insane killing machines like the barbarians if one is well equipt with stat damagers but it would feel much more "true" to the immersion this game provides.

Officer of Pestilence. Looting's our business and business was good until the Dev's ruined the game by making everything exclusive, bound to account, and ridiculously trivial.
