    Default DDO on MAC?

I have a couple friends that would really like to try out DDO, but they own Mac computers and so cannot install DDO.

Are there any plans to port DDO to Mac?

I play DDO on a mac with no problems. As long as your friends have an Intel mac (eg macbook, macbook pro, iMac, mac pro etc...) they can install Windows on their machine and run the game. I personally use Bootcamp (which allows you to boot straight into Windows) and play but heard others use Parallels to run the game (never tried that as my version of Parallels doesn't support the game)

Does Bootcamp work with a G4 Mac? I don't know what that means, but apparently that's what my cousin uses.

No -- a G4 mac is an old PowerPC based machine that would be underpowered (no matter how fast the processor was) to run this game. You need at least a Mac with an intel processor (one made with the last 2 years) and run bootcamp which only runs under OS X 10.4 or higher.

    Sorry for the bad news.

The game runs great under bootcamp running windows. Unfortunately since this game uses DirectX and not OpenGL (or it's like) it most likely will never be ported.

I'm running it on my 24" iMac -- and loving the screen real estate.

For those of you who play with a Mac, how do you have your controls set up with just the one mouse button? I finally decided to upgrade my PowerMac and ordered a new Intel-based Mac, but I'm not sure about the mouse situation...

    Default Error in bootcamp

I tried running it on my iMac in bootcamp and get the below error:

    Game Error [127]
The game encountered a fatal Windows API issue while attempting to start. Try rebooting your machine and starting the game again. [127]

Can I ask if you are doing anything extra to get it to run on your iMac?

luckily the imac has mighty mouse which you can configure it two be two button (you don't see it) You can buy a similar mouse for the powermac. It should work I think (I bought an iMac for my wife and she loves it after I change the mouse settings)

I'm running DDO on my Mac Mini through Bootcamp and running Windows XP. You can use any USB two button mouse. I have the Microsoft Intellipoint Mouse with four buttons and scroll wheel. I actually got DDO working with my USB Xbox 360 controller which makes the game feel more like Oblivion.

Do you need any special programs to use the xbox360 controller? or is it just a plugNplay?

    Default DDO on MAC

    All,

I was create to create an app for mac users to run DDO. I just wrapped DDO in Wineskin and used Pylotro at startup. All you have to do is uncompress and run. This is a beta test and it works on both of my macs. Here is the torrent for those interested:
