Default Need help with improved shield bash question.

I have searched the forums and can not find the answer. If you take the improved shield bash feat will it be able to work with two weapon fighting? All that I have found out so far is the improved shield bash feat is a passive skill and that the shield does blunt damage.

I feel that since it counts as a weapon it should get the benefits of a weapon and still retain the dr ability the feat provides. Could be a bit overpowered but thought I would ask those that might have tried this before. Any help appreciated.

in D&D it does, but not in DDO.

ISB does not allow you to two-weapon fight with a shield.
It only allows you to swing your shield (instead of your weapon) without losing blocking bonuses.

That and adding the weapon focus ans specialization for bludgeoning to shields would help sword & board a bit.

I am seriously considering respeccing ISB out of my intimitank build. Only keep it because i like to use trip when shield blocking.

I didn't regret it. That feat is seriously lacking.

while it wouldn't hurt, swing speed is the biggest change from D&D. Shield bashing suffers from an exaggerated case of Ranged Combat Sluggishness Disorder. I don't think there's a way to fix it without the speed looking rediculous, though.

Personally, i think some sort of "secondary" bonus is in order.
Like some additional defensive boost, or a sort of automatic "counterattack" damage when struck while blocking/bashing.

got rid of it on mine awhile ago. was fun to stun things with a shield, but when it cames down to it it wasn't worth spending a feat for a little meaningless DPS.

I based my build off Riot's Tank build, and he seems to like it. At low levels it didnt suck to bad but now its started to suck more.

Any suggestions? i was thinking either stunning blow or cleave. Maybe diehard - that feat rocks!
