Well, you become uncentered if you leave a light load (or equip armor, a shield, or any non-monk weapon (including a freaking wand) - but I'm sure you know this already).
Light load and with light, medium, and heavy type armors - none give the bonus. I mean, when you first put on the armor, it shows you with a super-high ac, but if you hover over it to see the math, it will add up to the "correct" (lower) amount. Then, when you zone in somewhere, it will display the correct amount for your ac.
Everything's peachy when wearing robes/outfits, but any armor removes the wis bonus.
Now, this is how it probably should work, but if there's a way to get another 8 or 9 ac, then I'd really like that.
Uncentered doesn't directly correlate to losing your Wis bonus to AC.
You lose your Wis bonus to AC if you're above a Light load, are wearing armor, or are wielding a shield. All of those things will uncenter you too, and that just means you can't do special Monk moves.
If you wield non-Monk weapons you are also uncentered, and can't do special Monk moves. This does not cause you to lose your Wisdom bonus to AC.
So it's not that being uncentered makes you lose your Wis bonus to AC, it's that encumbrance, armor, and shields do, which also coincidentally make you uncentered, and that can be confusing.
That's correct. You CAN wear an item that gives an 'armor' bonus to AC, like Armor Bracers or the Dragon Scale Robes (robes/outfits don't actually count as armor), but you can't wear actual body armor.
Most things that affect your character are organized into categories. 'Armor' refers to both a type of bonus--'armor bonus', and a type of equipment--'armor', like Studded Leather, Breastplate, and Full Plate.
You CAN get an 'armor bronus' and retain your Wis to AC, as long as that bonus is not from 'armor'.

An issue for me right now with my cleric, Jacquiej, is I like to have a 16 str on my human monk splash cleric. When I go below that I might start experiencing load issues (going into medium load and hence not getting wisdom bonus to ac) depending on what I loot. I have eaten a +2 strength tome, but what this also indicates is I need to wear a +6 str item which takes an equipment slot.
Not to hijack Impaqt's thread, but I am kind of scrambling with equipment slots (don't have all the equipment yet though for my new cleric lol) and hope that next mod will consolidate some things from an equipment standpoint. Blue dragon robe, archmagi item(bracer of glacer or archmagi item), shroud sp/cha item, lorrik's necklace are all sort of redundant, but each give a little extra sp and/or something else. Sp is just too important for most clerics to ignore.. Jacquiej is a caster cleric so slightly different issues, but battle clerics have similar issues because they have to take care of the battle and cleric in their job description from an equipment standpoint as well.

Looks pretty weak, especially compared to most of the Impaqt builds we have seen. Maybe I'm missing something, but I dont get the point of the build. Is it supposed to be a melee badass?
One of my pet peeves is when people post level 20 builds even though the cap is level 16. Well sure, it seems pretty good compared to the level 16 builds that are out there, but we dont even know what the level 20 builds will have.
How does a 6 barbarian/16 rogue/6 fighter build look? Should be pretty sweet because it beats the hell out of anything in the game right now, eh?
What is very likely is that the tempest cleric will be your first toon rerolled when the cap is raised. Everyone else will get level 9 spells and you willl have what? Melee alacracy?
