    Default Odd Idea (again)

How do you think a Tempest Cleric would work out?
    6 Ranger 10 Cleric
Dual wielding a Light Mace and a Morningstar.

stats (lvl 16 w/ raises and enhancements, no tomes, no items) :
    str 17
    dex 14
    con 17
    int 8
    wis 20
    chr 8

With a con and str tome, str, con, dex and wis items :
    24
    20
    24
    8
    26
    8

    Saves 15/10/14 (unbuffed, no items)
BAB : 13/13/18/23 (unbuffed, no items)
    ( +1 weapon focus (bludgeoning), +7 str, +3 divine favor, +1 Ram's Might = 25/25/30/35 ; Divine Power = 28/28/33/38/38 )
Tempest adds another attack? at ?? A decent +5 on the weapon =

    Divine Healing II

    Recitation and Prayer

    Freedom of Movement
    Raise Dead
    Slay Living
    Restoration
    Greater Command
    Spell resistance
    True Seeing

    ... Just wondering...
It is not about the destination, it is about the journey.

I don't see why it couldn't work out.

But, why bludgeoning weapons? There are many better weapon choices for a dual-wielding character.
    Ghallanda: Neatoelf15wiz/1rgr, Neetoelf17wiz, NeatoManhuman13rog/6pal/1mnk, NeatoHombrehuman12ftr/6pal/2rog, Kneetoedwarf17clr, Kneedoughdrow18clr/2mnk

Minimize expectations and you'll never be disappointed

Don't half-ass weird your Tempest Cleric and use Rapiers! Go full-ass weird and use bludgeoning! I like it.

Really though, maybe Elf with Rapiers (maybe start out with Longswords and use the +1 ToHit Cleric Enhancement), 9 Cleric/6 Ranger/1 Monk. At least 15 Dex (I prefer 16) to get GTWF later.

Hmmm... THis could be interesting..... Kinda surprised I didnt punch one of these up already.... Maybe Drow... Rapier/SS enh + SS Enh for Offhand. Some Nice Puncturers, and a Couple Shroud Tier 3 Weapons and this could be pretty fun.

Unfortunatly, you'd have to wait till level cap to get a Blade Barrier..... That sucks... but a 11 Cleric/9 ranger (BB, Heal, Evasion) could be a lot of fun next cap increase.....

I'll work it up and Post in the Cleric forums later.

I wrote one down on paper but never put it up....it doesn't look bad at all. However I was going 8 Cleric / 6 Ranger / 2 Monk..as the extra ranger levels don't give you as much as 2 monk. You still get evasion, better saves, 2 feats, and more AC from wisdom than barkskin going up.

Ofcourse, I did sacrifice my spell levels till later on but the final build was going to be 12 / 6 / 2 or 11 / x / x if I felt like being different in some areas.

Check out my Avalanche build in the ranger forums. Same idea as here except for splashing 2 levels of monk for evasion and amazing AC (70+). Will still get a max'd blade barrier at cap. In addition you'll get a small stacking speed boost with air stance 1 for use with dual vorpal kama's.

I'm a weirdo and I'm okay with that.

Okay, like most of my recent characters, I pulled some really cool maces and a morningstar I'd like to use... LOL. Also, I wanted to go for Maldroit of Bonebreaking - not many things have high dex stats in game, so would render most things motionless pretty quick, enabling auto-crits.

... and Normal is boring. Also... Rapiers?? On a more strength-build... seriously, I've seen and used rapiers in real life. They'd snap like twigs on any heavy combat, they poke and parry. You don't walk around in full plate carrying fairy-arse rapiers. Barbarian Rapier users... yeah... even his mom calls him Nancy. I know its a fantasy game, but seriously. Some people may have "Toons" who use whatever is mathematically 'the best', but I play with characters. I just can't bring myself to use rapiers. I don't do Lawful ("I'm an agent of chaos, and you know the thing about chaos? It’s fair"), so Monks and Paladins are just things I will never play. ( Even though I pulled some cool-concept hand wraps I'd like to see used ) Yes, I hold on to some RP ideals with a deathgrip. ROFLOL.

Plus, I would like to find a Maldroit of Weighted mace and take the Stunning Blow feat to have a little special effect. I have a +3 Impact (increased crit range) Silver morningstar of Weighted (3%) that I'd like to use. and a Seeker (+10) Heavy mace of Pure Good, oh and a couple banishing maces... ... and my current cleric, who I pretty much assumed couldn't hit the side of a barn with a semi, actually hits Shroud trogs with some impressive accuracy and damage when Dual wielding his Superior Potency VI Heavy Mace and a +5 Flaming Mace of Pure Good (for the pure good damage on the portals, he likes to help in between healing and casting prayer and recitation)

Also, EVERYBODY wants Rapiers and LOTS of people want/use Longswords or Scimitars. I figure I can get some pretty good bashing weapons for fairly cheap.

So, the Dex thing. +2 Tome to take care of that? So in January I can get GTWF? I already have a +1 str tome waiting on Mod 8 to actually build the character... yes, cause I want the NPE. LOL.
